For the master of shadow he never ever thought he would have his life brighter and colorful from how his life turns out since he was alive. Well he still lived happily with his mom when he was kid, but got separated because of the serpentine war and he got abducted and adopted being an assassin.
Now as he was now reaching his adulthood, Shade decided to move from town to town because of it. Well that is until he walked passed and heard a little boy yelling and cursing like a sailor. Of course he was curious and decided to follow that voice and sure he did find a little boy, probably in the age of 6 and was being hanged by his hoodie on the roof hook. “When I get you ninjas back I'll tell my father about this!!” The little boy screamed as Shade walked closer to him. “What are you doing here? How did you even end up there?” Shade asked and tried to help reaching to him as the boy scoffed.
“Stupid ninjas thought it was funny to hang me here as a punishment. I was just trying to survive on my own! And that's from Lloyd Garmadon to you” Lloyd said as Shade successfully got him down from the rooftop. “Cool. The name Shade, so your dad is… the famous evil warlord Garmadon, and you're his… son?” He asked and little Lloyd nodded off with pride, even showing off his hoodie that he mimicked made by himself.
Shade was kinda impressed by it, but there is something he was curious about. “So… where are you going now? You couldn't leave alone without adults around or even with an empty stomach…” he said as Lloyd's stomach began to grumble in hunger. “.... everyone hates me and leaves me” he simply answered with small tears threatening to fall from his eyes. The master of shadow felt pity upon him as he lent his hand to the small child.
“Huh?”
“I know how it feels, left alone. Everyone hates you. Empty and dull. But you don't have to be alone, I could accompany you if you want.” He gently said to the child as Lloyd slowly took his hand as the two walked around the village. “I could go with you?” He asked with such hope, Shade gave him a small smile and nodded to him. “Yeah, we could go together. As your guardian of course” he stated and that made Lloyd smile brightly and get close to him, hugging him in return.
So that's how Shade ended up accidentally adopting Lloyd like his own son. He sure spoiled him a lot, and even being a bad influence in food which was a questionable taste. Some of them are like fried centipedes, giant bug roast, or even some questionable eggs that they told to other people the food was delicious. And also Lloyd called him dad now, since he isn’t sure his father will come back or not. For now their life was very much peaceful.

A few years later, when Lloyd was 8 he was sent to go to school. Which made Shade devastated because his son was now already older and Lloyd would often comfort his father that he could handle it by himself. And so when a few weeks later Lloyd got into trouble Shade was worried for him that he ran fast to his son right away.
“Lloyd! Lloyd! What happened?! Did I hear you were in a fight today?!” Shade came as soon as possible to the teachers office and saw Lloyd having a bruised cheek while the other child was having a black eye. The teacher however, the pretty guy with dual hair color looked at him in disbelief.
“Dad! I fight that guy because he's saying tepid stuff about you! I did it for your honor” he said with such a bright tone that the teacher couldn't help but feel that it was adorable. “Did you win?!” he exclaimed with a sense of pride as Lloyd nodded with much more eagerness and Shade picked him up and cheered for him, until the same teacher cleared his throat. “Mr. Fantasma, this is not something you should be proud of! Your son just punched someone else's child!” mr. Neuro, one of Lloyd’s teachers, scolded Shade as he glared at the master of shadow.
Shade then looked behind him and saw Neuro, and let's just say he felt that zing in him. He didn’t know what it was but he could feel his chest thumping loudly when he saw Neuro glaring at him, he also could feel that there was something different from the teacher, but he couldn’t put a finger on what it was. Lloyd then saw between the two and smiling like a mischievous child he was and ‘accidentally’ pushed Shade towards Neuro, which made them almost fall on each other. “Well, this is rather interesting isn’t it?” Shade asked in a teasing manner as that made Neuro flustered and immediately pushed him away.
A few hours later when both Lloyd and Shade walked and the child teased his father, “you should marry mr. Neuro… he’s single and he does treat me nicely like a mother to its own child! Also he’s the master of mind.” he said cheerfully as Shade actually thought about courting Neuro. Like father, like son, they think the same thing indeed. “You are really my son, you know what i was thinking there! Good idea son!” He laughed and picked Lloyd up as the two talked more about the plan of Shade to marry Neuro.

…
…
Somehow that happened 5 years ago and now Lloyd was already 13 and has a little sister named Obscuria in his life. Neuro and Shade do end up marrying each other, Neuro slowly falls for Shade and not long after the marriage there was pregnancy happened (Neuro was the one pregnant, and Shade was the one endured his lovely demands during his pregnancy) 9 months later Obscuria was borned. That happened when Lloyd was still 10, and now with him being a tween and his little sister being a 3 years old toddler. It did raise some questions inside the young boy’s mind that he intended to ask his dad and mom (yes Lloyd called Neuro mama). So those questions were indeed being asked when the four of them went on a family trip.
“Bwahhh…. ‘wing! Woosh!” Obscuria babbled as she pointed at the swing tire that was near the tree from the park. Neuro just chuckles as he lets his 2 children go to the swing with Shade accompanying them from behind, “alright you little rascals, who’s going first on the swing?” he asked as his two little children raised their hands together. He could only laugh as he scoop up both of them into the swing all together. Lloyd then has hold on Obscuria, as the little baby gurgles with much more excitement.
Shade pushed the swing carefully as the kids were laughing and told their dad to go faster on the swing and even told him to twist around the swing as he just let them. Well all of that was happy and dainty, until Lloyd started to ask him some ‘important’ questions. “Hey, dad?” he started as Shade looked down at him, “yeah?”
“Can I ask you some, really… A really important question?”
Shade thought it was a normal question, as children would have this weird question but he was gonna answer it for him right away, “sure, what is it buddy?”
“Where do babies come from?”
There was a big silence from the sheerness of a simple question, Shade instantly stopped entwining the swing as he froze in his place right now, sweat already forming from his forehead. He isn’t ready to answer the question because it's sure gonna make things awkward to answer. “W-why do you ask that?”
Both Lloyd and Obscuria looked at their dad as they were looking at him innocently as they are. “How did the baby (Obscuria) end up in mama (Neuro) belly's?” he asks and points to his little sister as she just gurgles at him and looks at him with the biggest baby eyes ever. “Papa… mama… bed!” Obscuria also babbling as Shade tries to look away to distract them from the topic of the question. But, he couldn’t find anything as his two children just kept looking at him with curious wide eyes. “Uhm.. Uhhhh…”
Shade immediately let go of the swing as it turned fast, “whoops!” he said ‘accidentally’ letting go of the swing as his two children were screaming and laughing around on the swing. “SHADE!!” Neuro then yelled at him as he saw what just happened as Shade looked up at his husband and was embarrassed he got caught. Okay maybe he should just not let his children know about what happened between him and Neuro in the bedroom.
