"A-are you sure you don't want to do anything else my love?"
"Positive."
Hector was lost in confusion staring down at his muse as they laid on their chest in the bed. There was no TV playing, there was no book being read or drawing being finished. Instead their love just laid face down in Hector's chest that he was beginning to be concerned for their breathing.
Everytime he adjusted, they moved with them and their face never left his bosom even for a second. With the tank top he had been wearing before hand it was the only thing separating his lover from being skin to skin with his chest.
Hector could control the temperature of their body but with their heart incarnate laying so close, arms wrapped around his waist and legs intertwined so tightly that Hector was embarrassingly hard and could feel it against his lover's leg.
THey didn't mention it, didn't bulk away from it or even go towards it. They just laid their motionless and comfortable against their chest like it was meant to be a bed.
Hector wanted to accept the sweet gesture, but the anxiety swarming in his brain would not allow him go without asking more questions.
"Amor, why do you like laying on my chest? Is it not uncomfortable?"
"I feel safe here."
Their love nuzzled closer between his pecs, as if trying to nestle into his heart rather than the flesh before him.
"Oh."
It was all Hector could conjure.
The shock of being the source of safety for their treasure was enough to quiet him. Who was he to question their treasure's will? They were the sun the moon and the stars and if they felt safe and comfort in his chest, he would let them stay there for as long as they wished.
