Chapter Text

The girl next door twirled.

“Look, mom! My dress spins!”

“That’s nice.”

She was such a pretty, kind person. Like a doll, or angel.

Such a shame her mind was torn apart, chewed up and spat out, and then stepped on. Such a shame people would do something so terrible.

Maybe she was an angel. A heavensent deity too pure for this world.

She didn’t choose her fate. No one would have chosen to be traumatized like she had. If she had, she wouldn’t have to keep up her facade.

But she was used up. She was consumed by hate. Anyone would be.

She would try to stay strong. Her friends would weep, and weep, and weep, if she was gone. Their tears would flood the entire city. The city the girl next door didn’t live in.

Desire keeps you going. What a shame for her, that was. She couldn’t handle the truth, that she was the one to blame for everything.

Soon she’d rot. In her unlocked cage. Or, her tombstone.
