    Summary

Think of a small scratch: even that could bother you for days, maybe weeks, sometimes even leaving a slight scar. However, when a scratch becomes a wound, especially one of the fatal variety, it becomes something else entirely. You see muscle torn clean through, tissue ravaged by rivers of blood, the red sometimes punctuated by bone, or in more severe cases, organs. Blood vessels sit, punctured, spewing inky crimson everywhere. If they were talking about knife wounds, it would be easy. Small, short and sharp. Someone could be dead within minutes without the attacker having even meant it. However, when the knife enlongates and turns into a sword, you will have had to have meant it. Using a shorter weapon in the wrong place give you a lot of blood and a dead body on your hands. A sword with drive right through someone’s chest, piercing organs like a kebab stick. A sword, used with enough strength, wouldn’t even need to use it's sharp point. A sword is a weapon used in a crime of the utmost passion, often- but not always- planned out, and means you've got a murderer with a heart of cold, hard stone on your hands. That was who they would seek out now.
