“You are so disgusting! You're been rude to me for over a year and then this? What the actual fuck?” Bailey yelled, practically seeing red.
A small smile came to Shane's face, seemingly enjoying this. It only made her more mad.
“I’ve been rude to you?” He asked. She felt her nostrils flare.
“Yes! You know you have. All I wanted was to be your friend and you -”
He cut her off, the smile quickly fading. “You tried to bribe me with your little gifts and fake hello once a day. That little shit might work on every other asshole around here, but it’s not what I want from you.”
He’d taken a small step towards her. Shane wasn’t exactly tall, but he was still taller than her. Somehow, the air shifted and Bailey could feel her heart start to race.
“Then what do you want?” She asked quietly, her eyes widening. She regretted it the second she’d said it, but was suddenly dying to know his answer.
