So, here they are. The Dreemurr and their Ketsukane, face to face in particle world of heavenly light. Chara and Clover.
For a quick recap. After Asriel's defeat against Frisk, He used the six SOULs to destroy the barrier. But it meant that all the SOULs would vanish, disappear and the bearers of the SOULs would ascend to the Afterlife.
In a matter of few minutes, Clover's remaining essence would be gone in the incorporeal realm with all other children... except Chara, as they're tied to the world itself and cannot enter the Afterlife.
This... is their last interaction.
Clover: ...Chara, look-
Chara: Don't.
Clover immediately noticed her partner's uneasy voice...
Chara: I'm... I'm not ready yet.
...
Clover: Hah... I'm... not ready as well...
Both ran to each other and hugged tightly, with Chara hugging his chest and Clover hugging their head. Holding each other very close.
Chara: So... this is it, you're going to ascend while I'm stuck like this.
Clover: Don't say that, we're gonna meet again. I'm sure.
Chara: Right, but still... it's not fair.
Clover: Heh, guess the world hates us for being together huh?
...
Clover's small joke made Chara clench their fists in frustration.
Clover: Crap, I'm... I'm so sorry.
Chara: It's okay... I'm just- I'm angry, that's all.
Clover was about to say something... before he heard a fizzling sound.
...Oh.
Their form is dissolving.
Clover: Ah, my time's up.
Chara's the first one to tear up, Clover followed last while still having that bright smile.
Chara: Clover W-wait, do you... do you need something, before you go?
Clover: Y-yeah, can you and Frisk look after my mom, my sister, and the rest of my friends in the surface? I would appreciate alot. And, Chara?
Clover: No matter how much time passes, I will still think about you day after day. Yap about any friends I could make and... generally? You made a mark on my time here.
Chara: Pfft, you dork...
...
Chara: C-Clover, wait! I-
Chara couldn't finish their sentence, as Clover's form is fully gone with what's left are her particles.
Because of this... Chara silently breaksdown.
