“I can still smell him on you...” Steven murmured, voice low as his grip slid from JL’s wrist to his waist, pulling him closer. “Another alpha, close enough to leave a trace on my mate.”
“He’s just my supervisor.” JL said, softer now, breath hitching when Steven’s breath ghosted along his neck. “It doesn’t mean anything.”
“Then I’ll just have to remind you—” Steven whispered, tightening his hold just enough to make it clear, “...exactly whose scent you should be wearing... won’t I?”
His hand tightened at JL’s waist, pulling him flush against him before his lips finally crashed into JL’s, slow at first, then deeper and claiming, like a promise of everything he was about to do next.
