Ed had always been a peculiar kid, and his view on and way of making sense of the world tended to differ from everyone else’s. While Al understands his brother, other’s, mainly Roy, do not.
Whenever Ed assumes everyone is on his same page, when they are all in fact reading a different damn book, Roy calls Al to be an Edward translator for his unique definitions of reality. Some of them made due to Edward’s unique relationship with Truth.
