"Let's take 5." Alec breathed out a sigh, pressing his fingers against his temples, rubbing hard.
"I can't believe out of 99 people, we've only found 5 potential people. It's ridiculous." Isabelle rolled her eyes as she chewed on the end of her pen.
"If someone absolutely, fucking magnificent doesn't walk through that door soon, I'm gonna lose my shit." Alec sucked in a breath, launching himself back into the chair he was sitting in. He closed his eyes and drummed his fingers across the table to pass the time.
The doors to the gym hall opened, squeaking lightly - before Izzy even looked up, the rage building up inside her was clear as her cheeks flushed and her hands clenched to fists.
"WE'RE ON A BREAK! GET OUT!" Izzy's voice was high pitched and Alec exasperated loudly at her, she was such a stress head sometimes, he thought.
"Oh, uh, o-ok. Sorry." A timid, gentle voice spoke and Alec immediately looked up towards the person. Alec's eyes locked with the guy, who was of average height, his dark hair quiffed. His arms were muscly and Alec swore his eyes were lined a little with brown eyeliner. The guy blinked, stuttered and pushed the door open to leave.
"Wait." Was all Alec said and the guy stopped in his tracks, turning around and standing in a formal stance, his hands behind his back.
"Alec, what are you doing?" Izzy asked, steam practically coming out of her ears. Alec shushed her with hand gestures and then gestured for the young man to come in. He walked towards them quickly and spritely with a soft smile on his face.
"What's your name, cutie?" Alec cooed, flirting with his eyes. Izzy scoffed, turning away from Alec and popping a lollipop in her mouth. Alec was always relieved when she did this because it finally shut her up for 5 minutes.
"Uh, Magnus. Magnus Bane." Magnus spoke, his cheeks flushing a deep shade of red.
"What a magnificent name, Magnus. Tell us about you." Alec asked, a smirk playing on his lips as he clearly checked Magnus out, looking him up and down.
"Uh, I just transferred here from a small college just outside New York. I wasn't enjoying myself. I'm a gymnast, um, I um, I keep myself to myself really but i'd like to venture into something new. As being a gymnast will be to my advantage, I hope." Alec smiled at Magnus's response, whereas Izzy just looked confused.
"So hang on, you've never done any cheerleading?" Izzy asked, her brows knitting together furiously and Magnus shook his head. It was an understatement that Isabelle Lightwood was unimpressed.
"I'm young, I'm in good condition physically being a gymnast and this is something i'd really like to pursue. I'll work really hard and since i've never done cheerleading before, you can shape and mould me into whatever. I won't let you down." Magnus said, for the first time he was filled with confidence.
"Welcome to the team," Alec said, clapping his hands together once. Izzy shot Alec a look, her head snapping around as fast as lightening.
"You can't do that! I'm captain! We haven't even seen his skills yet!" Izzy spat, her voice screeched so high it could break a glass.
"Magnus, please excuse my sisters lack of manners. If you could please demonstrate your skills, i'm sure we'd both enjoy that very much. And off the record, Isabelle - I can do what I want after you lost the bet we had about sleeping with Clary. You didn't even last 2 weeks let alone a month." Alec sniggered and Izzy grunted furiously at her brother.
Magnus prepared, breathing in deeply and walking over to a corner of the gym. He begun, his hands up in the air before beginning to sprint. Magnus double cartwheeled, front flipped, tumbled, tuck jumped into another flip before doing a one handed cartwheel. Finishing off at the other end of the gym with a tumble and a front layout with half twist. He was perfectly formed, landing with his feet together without stumbling.
"Well done." Alec said, clapping his hands lightly. Izzy rolled her eyes, wishing she'd listened to her brother to save the embarrassment. Magnus walked towards both of them slowly, his forehead glistening with a little sweat.
"Thanks." Was all Magnus could manage, clearly out of breath.
"Here, take this," Alec handed him a book which read 'The Ultimate Guide To Cheerleading' and Magnus smiled, his eyes glancing over the cover. "Read it from cover to cover, twice if you have to."
"We train Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's. Saturday is game day, so we usually train at night on Friday's. As you can gather, the squad has already formed its little cliques, so they train when they can out of schedule times. I really don't know where you'll fit in but my brother seems adamant he wants you on the team." Izzy licked her lolllipop as she spoke and Magnus gulped nervously.
"Since you're being a first class bitch," Alec begun, smirking. "I'll be responsible for this one." He continued, pointing his finger at Magnus who tittered and blushed.
"I'll get you trained up in 2 weeks, 3 if you're a quick learner. We'll meet whenever we have time. Pop your number on here and I'll call you and give you your uniform."
"You've only just met and you're asking for his number already? Keen!" Izzy teased and Alec laughed from his throat, raising his brows at Magnus who reached for the pen in Alec's hand. He scribbled down his name on the piece of paper along with his number and smiled at Alec, who clearly had the devil in him.
"See you soon then," Magnus grinned, wide eyed. Alec thought it was for him, but it was clearly because he'd just got on the cheerleading team much easier than expected.
"It's so obvious you fancy him. You'll be fucking him by the end of the week." Izzy scoffed and Alec was checking Magnus's ass out as he walked away.
"I hope so, his ass is great. Boy got skills. He said himself he can be shaped and moulded, I wanna get my hands on that thing." Alec chuckled as he got up from the table and stuffed the paper with Magnus's number into his pocket.
"Cmon, lets go grab some lunch!" Izzy squeaked excitedly as they both headed towards the canteen.

Alec was struggling for breath, his dark hair damp with sweat as he gave up on the treadmill after sprinting for at least 30 minutes. He laid down on the floor behind the treadmill, collapsing with a grunt and a sigh as his chest heaved with heavy breaths.
"You admitting defeat?" Magnus said through a breath, who'd been doing pull ups for what seemed forever. Alec nodded, feeling like he'd swallowed a bunch of tiny knives.
"How are you still going? The amount of energy you have is ridiculous. Are you taking something?" Alec asked and Magnus gasped, letting go of the bar and dropping to the floor.
"No! I would never do that!" Magnus shot Alec a look and Alec lifted his head up to look at Magnus, who looked a little disheartened.
"Shit. Sorry. I should've guessed you weren't that kinda guy." Alec threw his head back and sighed, his breathing returning to normal. He shook his head, realising that was probably the only time Alec had apologised to someone. Magnus didn't reply and the silence was a little awkward.
"How many you on now?" Alec asked Magnus, his head nodding in the direction of bar he'd been doing pull ups on.
"130. I'll stop at 150." Magnus replied a little sternly as he turned his back to Alec and jumped up again to continue with his pull ups. Alec wandered over weights and picked some out before heading over to the bikes and doing an upper and lower body workout in one. Conveniently the bikes were facing where Magnus was and Alec could not so subtly check him out.
His muscles were tensed, sweat dripping down them as Magnus begun to grunt from the pain of doing so many pull ups. Alec's head shot towards Magnus, who was now grunting with every pull up and Alec felt a knot in his stomach. He'd never been so fixated by someone before. Alec wasn't the type of guy to have feelings, he'd rather just fuck and chuck guys, plus it was more fun that way. Wasn't that what college was all about?
Alec was clearly very attracted to Magnus, he wanted nothing more than to have him alone and do what he wanted with him. But something felt different this time. Alec didn't even know the name of some of the many guys he'd slept with, but he wanted to know everything about Magnus. Know what makes him tick. He tried to shake it off but he couldn't. He didn't even know if Magnus was straight or gay or what, but all he knew was that he wanted to get to know him better. Much better.
"Hey Alec, we still on for later?" Alec was pulled from his thoughts as Raj, the latest guy on his radar - walked past him with a smirk to the other side of the gym.
"You bet." Alec replied, loud enough for Magnus to hear as him and Raj walked past each other. Raj bumped shoulders with Magnus, causing Magnus to throw him a confused look.
"Is he fucking you as well?" Raj asked, a disgusted look on his face as he looked Magnus up and down. Magnus didn't reply but kept his head down and Alec chuckled at Raj's jealously.
"Ignore him. He's more of a dick than me. Good in bed though I must admit." Alec smirked as he glugged water from his bottle.
"Uh, I gotta go. See you." Magnus scurried off like a scared little animal, his facial expression filled with anxiety.
Alec laughed out loud. "Playing hard to get. I love a challenge."

Magnus made his way to the laundry room in the evening, having a fight with the laundry basket to try and reach his phone in his pocket. As soon as he answered Izzy was babbling away about something. He wasn't listening to a word she was saying as his eyes fixated on the door opening down the corridor. He eyed up the familiar figure from before. It was Raj, leaving Alec's room - his hair clearly dishevelled more than before. Magnus rolled his eyes at him and suddenly realised that was the wrong thing to do.
"I g-gotta go Izzy, I'll call you later." Magnus panicked as Raj came storming towards him in a fury.
Raj ripped the laundry basket from his arm, the shock causing Magnus to drop his phone. Raj slammed the wall hard, not even an inch from Magnus's head. He flinched, unsure what to do or say so he kept quiet.
"Stalking Alec again, are you?" Raj begun, his eyes dark. Magnus swallowed, his eyes looking away from him, scared.
"What are you on about? He's training me for the cheer squad." Magnus's tone was quiet but clearly angry.
"Just stay away from him. He's not interested in anyone but me. You got it?" Raj threatened and Magnus could smell his breath, a mixture of mint and cigarettes.
"I'm not interested in him, i'm strai-" Magnus begun but was cut off from Raj's anger as he punched the wall again next to his head.
"Just shut the fuck up and listen to me. Stay away or i'll make you disappear."
"No, you you listen to me, you fucking asshole. I've known Alec barely a week and even I know he's only interested in sex, so stop being a possessive creep. I should've listen to Alec when he called you an asshole and the only decent thing about you was your skills in the bedroom." Magnus was shaking, his breathing erratic.
"What you gonna do now? Go run crying to him?" Raj sniggered and the fury bubbled up inside Magnus. He used all his weight to push the taller man away from him, bending down quickly to grab his phone before picking up his laundry.
"No, I'm gonna go carry on with my night before you came along and ruined it." Magnus said angrily and scoffed at Raj, trying to get his head around how much of a prick he was. Of course, he wanted to tell Alec but he probably wouldn't believe him and he wanted to seem strong to Alec, not weak. He shuffled his way to the laundry room away from Raj, who was still laughing in the corridor.
It was 1am and Magnus was wide awake, lying in his bed going out of his mind. Not for any particular reason, he just felt like he was living in a matchbox. His new roommate Simon, a music student and the football team mascot was snoring his head off and Magnus wondered how he was going to cope with this for a whole year.
He decided to get out of bed and go for an early morning swim to tire him out. Passing Alec's dorm room on the way, he stopped hesitantly for a few seconds - wanting to knock. But he didn't, he carried on, minding his own business on his way to the swimming pool.
Just as Magnus turned the corner, Alec popped his head out of his dorm room. He snuck out, careful to not wake Jace, captain of the football team, his best friend of 15 years and his roommate. He walked towards Magnus's dorm room and knocked lightly.
"Bro, it's gone 1am - what you playing at Alec?" Simon rubbed his eyes and Alec looked a little disappointed.
"Is Magnus here? I need to talk with him."
"No, he's not in his bed. Can't it wait until the morning? I've got an audition at 9am for the school band." Simon grunted, struggling to open his eyes but Alec was being persistent.
"Do you know where he is?" Alec continued and Simon rolled his eyes, sighing before shutting the door in his face. He guessed that meant no.
Alec couldn't think where the hell Magnus was. Then it clicked. The gym. He headed over towards the gym at a fast pace, it was freezing cold and he really should've worn a jacket. For the first time in his life that he could remember, Alec felt a little nervous. Magnus, a seemingly normal guy made someone as confident as Alec nervous.
"You really shouldn't be here, you know? The pool shuts at 9pm." Alec said, holding Magnus's sports bag, spotting Magnus at the other end of the pool.
"You shouldn't be here either then. How did you find me?" Magnus called to Alec who was now sat on the edge of the pool, shoes off with his feet dipped in the water. He relished in the feeling after being outside in the cold.
"Guessed you'd be here somewhere. I knocked for you, Simon now hates me." Alec spoke and it echoed through the huge room as Magnus swum his way back to Alec. When he reached the beginning of the pool, he pushed himself up and out as if no effort was required to do it. Alec was fixated and thankfully Magnus reached straight for his towel, drying his hair and top half of his body before Alec snapped out of checking his body out, which was incredible.
"Are you alright?" Alec asked Magnus who was out of breath but Magnus guessed that that wasn't what Alec was talking about.
"Alec, I don't mean to be rude but why are you here? It's nearly 2am, go to bed." Magnus chuckled, standing up and wrapping the towel around his hips.
"I just wanted to check you're alright, you know. This whole place is still new to you and stu-"
"I know you overheard what went down with me and Raj, Alec. Why else would someone like you be acting so sheepish?" Alec chuckled softly, realising he'd been rumbled.
"Sorry. I'm not used to having feelings. Caring." Alec looked down at his feet, swishing around in the water as Magnus sat down next to him, a little too closely.
"You caring? Having feelings? You're a changed guy, Alexander." Magnus laughed throatily, causing Alec to smile.
"I don't know how you do what you do. I mean, it's cool - but I just don't know how you do it. I get too invested in people." Magnus said, silence filling the room. Alec looked confused.
"What do you mean 'what I do'? Alec'a brows kitted together as he looked at Magnus, who smirked a little.
"Be a fuckboy. I mean, how many guys have you slept with? You've genuinely had no feelings for any of them? No attachment?" Magnus questioned and Alec shook his head.
"If you want the truth, I've been in love with someone for a very, very long time. He's straight though and I've accepted that, but my feelings never left for him. I guess me sleeping around a lot numbs the pain of that. I don't allow myself to get attached to guys because of that." Magnus was shocked that Alec had opened up to him so much. Alec looked sad.
"I don't really know what to say, apart from that's gutting. I'm sorry." Magnus apologised and Alec shook his head.
"You don't need to say anything. It's just nice to feel comfortable to open up to someone." Alec smiled and Magnus nudged his arm gently with his elbow, a sort of affectionate move.
"You were saying before, you get way too invested in people - you didn't say guys or girls. Are you..?" Alec asked, his eyes full of questions. Magnus chuckled.
"I don't know. I've only ever been with one girl and that didn't last very long." Magnus replied, his words rushed.
"Have you ever, like - fancied a guy before? Felt like you wanted to be something more than friends?" Alec asked, looking Magnus right in the eyes. Magnus suddenly felt nervous and he swallowed hard as his mouth watered. He thought there was something different about Alec but since Alec was all about sex and nothing else, he'd already ticked him off as a no go zone. Maybe he did fancy Alec, he didn't know. He was extremely confused.
"Uh, I, uh I don't know. It's not something I've thought about I guess." Magnus managed to stutter out and Alec smiled at him. He'd seen a completely different side of Alec tonight.
"I'm glad you opened up to me." Magnus said after a few moments of comfortable silence.
"Me too, it was nice for a change. And just for the record, I definitely won't be seeing Raj again," Alec said, grimacing. "What a creep."
Even though Alec and Magnus had only known each other a week, everyone had noticed a change in Alec. Izzy, Jace, even Magnus himself. Alec held his front up though, somewhat pretending to be a fuckboy, sleeping around regardless of the consequences. But it was almost as if as soon as Magnus walked into the gym to audition, a part of Alec begun to change.
Alec almost felt a sort of connection with Magnus, the kind of connection he and Jace made years ago. Half of him wanted to say, to hell with it and follow his feelings but the other half of him was scared, because he couldn't possibly cope with being rejected again, just like Jace did.
*
"Where you off to at this early hour?" Jace grunted, rolling over before yawning and stretching. He questioned Alec, who was awake, dressed, sports bag packed and he'd even styled his hair all before 9am.
"Coffee and breakfast with Mags before practice." Alec said, avoiding eye contact with Jace as he grabbed his bag and headed for the door.
"Mags, eh? Already on nickname terms? You must be really into him, since you make a habit of not asking names of most guys that you fuck." Jace chuckled lightly and Alec was a little offended, his past actions making him feel somewhat guilty. He was beginning to hate that side of him so much.
"It's just coffee. We're still knee deep in training to try get him up to standard before the game next week." Alec made excuses but this was his worst of all. Jace could see right through him like he was an open book, letting him read the pages.
"I don't know why you don't just ask the boy out. He clearly likes you too, I've seen the way you two act around each other." Jace sniggered, ridding himself of the covers and heading over to the bathroom.
"How can he like me when he's straight?" Alec asked, raising his brows and giving Jace a sarcastic look.
"Don't be giving me that labelling bullshit. You told me you were as straight as a ruler until we got to college, now look at you. Fucking every guy you lay your eyes on. He might be confused. You might even help him. I've seen a change in you these past 2 weeks Alec and don't even try denying it. Just see how it pans out and for God's sake, don't fuck it up and don't fuck him about." Jace told Alec straight and he nodded, swallowing hard. He didn't reply but left his dorm room with a slam. Alec had to get some air, he couldn't breathe.
"So I was wondering," Alec begun, rubbing his palms together. "There's this frat party next weekend, do you wanna go? Like, with me?" Alec looked at Magnus who was stuck into reading his cheerleading guide, not really paying attention to Alec. Alec felt sick. He'd never asked a guy out before, it was always him being chased and he'd decided to pluck up the courage and ask Magnus.
After a few moments pause, Magnus spoke. "What's the catch?" He said, not even locking eyes with Alec.
"W-what?" Alec asked, his eyes scrunching up, confused. "There is no catch. I was just wondering if y-"
"Alexander Lightwood, do not take me for a fool. We both know, in fact - this whole coffee shop knows that you don't go around asking guys on dates. You have guys throwing themselves at you daily, so why don't you ask one of them to this party? At least then you'd be guaranteed a fuck or two by the end of the night." Magnus spoke and Alec was speechless, his whole face losing colour.
"I-I'm sorry if it came across that way, I just.." Alec trailed off, looking disheartened.
"I should go. Izzy wants to meet about some new uniform designs with Raphael." Magnus said, briefly looking up from his phone as he stuffed everything into his bag.
"But we're supposed to be training," Alec said, his tone angry.
"Izzy wants to check on my progress, unlike you who's more interested in trying to convince me to fuck you. See you later." Magnus said, his facial expression proving he felt a little like Alec was using him. But for once in Alec's life, he wasn't doing this because he wanted sex, he was doing it because he actually likes Magnus. Really likes him. He thought about why Magnus couldn't see that but then realised how much of an idiot he really was.
"Hey! You won't believe what I've just witnessed, Alec Lightwood got turned down by a guy!" Alec heard the guy behind him talking in a hushed tone to someone on the phone and his heart dropped. He didn't wanna be that kind of person anymore. He wanted to change, not just for him, but to prove to Magnus that he did have feelings and he wasn't a cold hearted, sex obsessed adolescent.
*
A week and a half had passed and Alec had barely seen Magnus. For whatever reasons he had, Magnus was definitely avoiding Alec. Izzy was getting stroppy because Alec was miserable, Jace was getting annoyed at him because he had a permanent face like he'd been smacked with a shovel and Magnus was miserable. Without Alec. But he knew that Alec was trouble.
"Cheer up grumpy, there's a party tonight. You'll be in your element!" Clary said, cuddling up to Jace who had Clary on his lap in the canteen.
"Shut up, little girl. I'm not going." Alec mumbled, tucking into a burger bigger than his head.
"You can't be serious! Me and Lydia have been planning this for weeks! You have to come!" Isabelle whined at her brother, she hated seeing him so miserable.
"I am serious. I'm not going." Alec said, mouth full of food.
"Here comes the heartbreaker!" Jace whispered, but his voice loud enough for everyone to hear. Everyone turned their heads in the direction of where Jace was nodding his head, to see Magnus walking past the table with a lunch tray in his hands.
"Shut up Jace," Alec begun before locking eyes on Magnus, who was seemingly going more red in the face by the millisecond.
"You're all assholes." Alec cursed, Izzy and Clary giggled as Jace scoffed at his best friend.
"Lighten up, Alec. What the fuck is up with you?" Jace questioned as Alec continued to stuff his face.
"I'm gonna go talk to him," Izzy said, referring to Magnus. Alec panicked, almost choking.
"No, no! Don't do that! It'll make it worse!" Alec protested and Izzy rolled her eyes, smirking at Alec.
"Who said I was going to talk about you? You won't go out with him, so I'm gonna ask him out." Izzy said and Clary and Jace's jaws dropped.
"Izzy you can't do that!" Clary whined, actually feeling sorry for Alec, all the colour in his face had gone.
"Watch me."
"He turned me down!" Alec whined to his sister as she strutted over towards Magnus, ignoring everyone's remarks.
"Hey Mags, you look lonely," Izzy begun, batting her eyelashes. Magnus looked a little uncomfortable.
"I'm fine," Was all he said and Izzy locked eye contact with her brother, who was staring at them both intently.
"Look, Alec thinks I'm over here to ask you out, I'm not. I'm over here to ask you if you'll come to the party tonight, for Alec." Izzy begun and Magnus sighed.
"I'm not sure, he only wants me there so he can try get me into bed with him. I'm not ready for that yet, I'm not that kinda guy. Hell, I've never even been with a guy before. I'm confused." Magnus confessed and Izzy looked worried.
"I know Alec's my brother and I know him better than anyone else, but he didn't ask you to this frat party because he wants to bed you. He really likes you. This is out of character of Alec to do any kind of chasing. Please believe me." Izzy said, her eyes full of apologies and Magnus smiled softly at her.
"Really?" Magnus asked and Izzy nodded and he smiled and sighed with relief.
"I really like him. I thought it was just as friends but I've realised it's not just that now, it's more. I've really missed him since I flipped on him. It sounds ridiculous, I've barely known the guy a few weeks but I feel like we just have that unexplainable connection, you know? I don't know, maybe it's hormones." Magnus rambled and took in a deep breath as Izzy smiled, seeing someone talk to wonderful about her brother.
"I think you've really started to change him, it's a fascinating thing to watch. So you'll be there tonight?" Izzy asked and Magnus nodded, to which she clapped her hands a few times in quick succession and headed off back towards the table where her friends and brother sat.
"No need to thank me not brother, lover boy will be at the party tonight." Izzy bragged, winking at Alec.
"Yeah, with you. Not with me." Alec cursed, his facial expression was frustrated.
"He's not coming with me. Or with anyone for that matter. But he will be there, so a thank you would be nice. Don't fuck it up with him, he really likes you. He's just scared to feel anything for you because of your whorish tendencies." Alec didn't thank his sister, but sat back in his chair slumped.
"Where's Jace gone?" Izzy asked and Alec shrugged his shoulders, Clary was sat with her head down, her eyes were red and her face was wet when she moved her head a little enough for Izzy to see.
"Simon, h-he's gone to find Simon." Clary said quietly, staring into space as she wiped her eyes.
"What, why? Why are you crying?" Izzy asked Clary as she moved to the opposite side of the table to comfort Clary.
"Alec told Jace about us. So he stormed off to tell Simon." Clary said through tiny sobs as Izzy shot her brother a look, a fierce one at that.
"What the fuck did you do that for, asshole? After what I did for you? Fuck you Alec, fuck you." Izzy spat at her brother and he scoffed, shrugging his shoulders.
"I don't give a shit. You cheated on Simon, Clary cheated on Jace." Alec spat back and Izzy cursed.
"Fine, I'll just go tell Jace how you've been in love with him since the day you met him." Izzy threatened and Alec chuckled.
"This is playground talk, grow up Isabelle and take responsibility for what you did. You too, little girl." Alec said to Izzy and Clary, before getting up from the table and storming off. He couldn't believe how childish his sister was being over something as harmless as his feelings for Jace.
*
The frat party was in full swing, the apartment was overflowing with people, drinking, smoking, making out and doing god knows what with god knows who. Magnus was sat in between Izzy and Clary, the tension was obvious. Jace and Simon were glued to the snooker table with Raphael, whilst Alec was sat on his own in a corner.
"Have you seen Alec?" Magnus asked, no one in particular. Izzy and Clary both shook their heads, not even speaking.
"Do you want me to go? So you two can talk?" Magnus asked and the two girls both continued to shake their heads.
"This isn't really my scene anyway. I think i'll head home." Magnus said, getting up and leaving Izzy and Clary alone.
"Magnus, please go find Alec. I don't like the thought of him being alone, you as well. Find him." Izzy asked and Magnus nodded, heading off into the direction of the crowd.
"So what do we do now mate? Fuck each other like our girlfriends did?" Jace chuckled and so did Simon, but not as hard.
"I'm not that bummed to be honest, I knew something was up with those two. That's why me and Izzy grew apart. It was a sort of relief when you came and found me. I can carry on now without Izzy being a burden on me." Simon confessed and Jace nodded, agreeing with him.
"You sound like you've already got someone else lined up." Jace hinted and Simon looked guilty.
"You have! Haven't you?" Jace asked and Simon nodded lightly, his eyes fixated on Raphael, who was downing whatever drink was in the red plastic cup, leaning on the side of the snooker table as he chatted to some girls.
"I like Raphael. He dragged me off the pitch at the end of last weeks game and kissed me. I didn't know what to do, but I haven't stopped thinking about it since it happened." Simon confessed and Jace's mouth hung open, speechless. After a few moments, he spoke.
"I say go for it. You deserve to be happy."
"And what about you? And Clary?" Simon asked and Jace shook his head, a disgusted look on his face.
"I'll never look at her the same again. I thought I'd found the one."
Isabelle and Clary sat on the sofa next to each other in silence for the next half an hour, downing whatever drinks they could get hold of.
"So what do we do now?" Izzy slurred. "We're boyfriendless, my brother hates me, I hate my brother and now Simon is probably pissed at you too. What have we done?"
"We did what felt right. I like you, you like me. Shit happens." Clary said as she downed the last of her drink, crinkling up the red cup in her hand.
"That's bullshit. We cheated on our boyfriends with each other. We shouldn't of done it, we should've just split with them before." Izzy cursed, clearly furious.
"Do you think Magnus found Alec? At least 2 of us should be happy this weekend since we fucked everything up." Clary asked Izzy, who shrugged her shoulders.
Magnus spotted Alec from across the room, slumped in an armchair, drink in one hand, phone in the other. Magnus focused on his features for a minute, a little transfixed by him. The dark, messy, almost little curls in his hair. Big eyebrows which married his beautiful hazel green eyes perfectly. A cute nose and plump lips, shiny from the alcohol. Magnus couldn't take his eyes off him. That was until a guy from his class nudged him drunkenly and they got talking about lectures...
'Have you seen Magnus yet? He left to come find you ages ago' read a text from Isabelle to Alec. Alec shook his head, wondering whether to believe her or not. Until he glanced up and saw Magnus from across the room, chatting, laughing, drinking with another guy. Alec wondered if this is what jealously felt like.
Alec had been staring at Magnus chatting with this unknown guy for 15 minutes at least and his rage was getting worse by the minute. He was going to go over there if they didn't stop soon. Magnus had locked eyes with Alec multiple times, yet he hadn't made his way over to him yet. Alec decided to stop being angry for a minute and stare at his phone, his eyes fuzzy from all the alcohol he'd consumed.
Magnus, finally getting rid of the drunken guy from class, plucked some courage and confidence (probably from the drinking) and headed over towards Alec. He had no idea what he was doing, but he dropped his drink and grabbed Alec by his shirt, pulling him up out of the chair and kissed him hard on the lips. Alec's phone dropped from the shock, he didn't even see Magnus coming over. The kiss didn't last long, but Magnus pulled away and took a deep breath. Alec looked speechless.
"Hi." Magnus said, running his tongue over his bottom lip as Alec opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out.
"Hi?" Alec spoke finally, a confused look spread across his face.
"Sorry, I probably could've done that a lot better."
"Go on then." Alec smirked as Magnus hesitantly leaned in and pressed his lips to Alec's again, Alec grabbing the gymnast by his shirt and pulling him closer.
