They’re no longer the blue-gray of a trembling lake, moonlight reflecting from the still surface while melancholy lurks in the depths, always there but just barely out of sight. They’re now a muted sapphire brimming with light and laughter, like waves crashing on a summer beach, warmly washing over her.
