“Something he’s only ever eaten while pregnant with Ines.” Eddie reasons.
“Well that’s ridiculous. There’s no way Buck’s doctor even cleared him for sex before like, two weeks ago. You’re probably just in your head.”
“He got cleared a little under a month after Ines was born.”
Maddie pinches the bridge of her nose. “What did you do—nail him right there in the doctor’s office?”
“What? No, of course not! We made it to the parking lot.”
“And then went home, right?”
Eddie is silent.
