Chapter Text
It hasn't been long since the strawhats noticed something between Robin and Law. Especially Nami, Usopp, and Chopper—Well, Zoro has noticed too but doesn't pay it any mind. It all started when the Strawhats and Heart Pirates happened to dock at the same harbor, Nami decided to stay on the island for 2 weeks to have a little rest, while the Heart Pirates were on some sort of mission.
"Island! Island! Island!" Luffy and Ussop were chanting while dancing together.
Chopper noticed a familiar submarine nearby. "Hey, look! It's Torao's crew." Luffy turned to look at the island, his arm stretched to jump onto Sunny's head.
Looking out he saw Law talking to one of his crew member, they seemed busy, carrying boxes one after another. "Hey! Torao!" Luffy yelled out while waving his arms around.
Bepo's ears twitched and looked up while putting down a box. "Ah! Captain, it's mugiwara!" Law stopped to look at the sea and sees Luffy's stretched arms coming to grab him. "Wha-" Before he could even react Luffy launched himself towards Law.
"Toraooo!" Luffy screamed out while flying. Sand clouded everywhere due to the impact, "Huh, Where'd he go?" Luffy asked confused while looking around.
"Mugiwara-ya..." Law spoke out slowly underneath Luffy, there he was on the floor coughing because of the sand.
"You-" Before he could speak Luffy cut him off laughing "There you are Torao, what're you doing? Are you trying to be funny?"
A vein could be seen appear on Law's head from annoyance. Law sighed and stood up "whatever, more importantly"
Luffy looked at him listening. The Strawhats just finished putting down the anchor, Usopp and Chopper excited about the Island's environment while Nami is yelling at them to wait.
"Nico-ya, where is she?" Law asked.
"Ah Robin? She's on the Sunny" Luffy replied smiling "Why?" Law ignored Luffy's follow up question and turned to Bepo
"Bepo, I'll be back." Luffy was suddenly called by Ussop urging him to try a fruit. Of course, Luffy ran straight towards him. Meanwhile, Law approached Robin.
"Nico-ya, are you busy?" Law asked, holding a book.
"Not at the moment, why?" Robin replied, she looked at Law curious why he approached her.
"I need to talk to you about something." Law looked at the book.
Sanji suddenly jumped down from the sunny, "Nami-swan! Even your angry side is beautiful!" Robin looked at Sanji smiling.
"Sanji, can you brew us some coffee?" Sanji turned to Robin with heart eyes.
"Of course, Robin-chwan!"
A few days passed, Law and Robin are usually seen together, mostly on the Sunny or inside libraries. This started to catch Nami's eye. One afternoon, while Nami finished changing, she saw Robin and Law sitting while talking.
She paid it no mind until after she went shopping and went back to the Sunny and they were still talking.
"Eh? It's been 2 hours, and they're still at it?" Nami looked at them for a while, Sanji and Chopper behind her carrying her shopping bags. Nami couldn't help but think that there must be something going on between them.
"Could it be?..." Nami shook her head suddenly "no way, both of them wouldn't...or maybe" Nami was conflicted, those two has seemingly grown closer these passed few days, she can't deny it. Nami looked at them again, Chopper noticed Nami's expression.
"Nami? What's wrong?" This helped Nami snap out of her thoughts "Ah, nothing nothing, go put those bags over there" Sanji immedietly complied "Yes! Nami-san!"
Chopper looked at the direction Nami was looking and saw Robin and Law. "Nami" Chopper called out, transforming back to his original form. "Is this about Robin and Torao?"
Nami was relectant but agreed "Yeah...did you notice too?"
Chopper nodded "Earlier this morning, I invited Robin to go shopping me but she declined. I saw them later inside a library together."
Nami replied "Right? They're always together, Isn't it weird?"
Suddenly they heard someone behind them chuckling proudly. "Tsk, tsk, tsk. Ameteurs, don't you get it?" The two of them turned around and saw Usopp leaning against the wall.
"Usopp!" The two called out at the same time. "Isn't it obvious? This is obviously..." Ussop continued, while going up to them with a smug look on his face. "Love." He continued, smiling. "Eh?!" Chopper and Nami screamed out.
Luffy was walking back to the Sunny with Zoro, when suddenly he heared Nami and Chopper shout.
"They're too loud" Zoro looked annoyed, carrying some sort of booze. "Hey!! Everyone, we're back!"
Luffy yelled out, stretching his arms onto Sunny and getting on board, there he saw Nami, Usopp, and Chopper sitting in a circle.
"What're you guys talking about?" He asked, smiling and leaning in. "Still, Isn't it too sudden? I mean it's the two of them we're talking about!" Nami voiced out, second guessing Usopp's judgement. Luffy looked up and saw Robin and Law together.
"Oh! It's torao!" This caught the trio's attention in a panic "Heyy!! Tora-" before Luffy could finish, the three pulled Luffy and covered his mouth. "Hey!" They all whispered.
Law noticed, and looked towards them. "They're quite lively aren't they?" Robin spoke up, chuckling.
"Yeah." Law replied. "Mugiwara-ya...What happened to his arm?" Law noticed some bandages on Luffy's arm, especially the blood bleeding through, his wound must've opened.
"Arm? Ah, it was cut pretty deep by an enemy on our previous adventure." Robin answered, looking at Luffy. "Is that so?" Law looked at Robin, then to the open book on the table.
Nami and Usopp lectured Luffy not to bother Law and Robin. "Huh, why?" Luffy asked, half‐annoyed.
Chopper answered first, "They're on a date!" Chopper smiled excitedly, while Nami and Usopp nodded. Luffy stared at them, blank face with his mouth in a straight line.
He would've replied instantly but for some reason he stopped for a few seconds. "A date? That's impossible, because-" Luffy was cut off.
"I know, I know. It seems unreal isn't it?" Usopp interrupted "Yes, that's why don't bother them." Nami stated firmly.
"But that's shocking, Robin and Torao" Usopp pointed out.
"Mhm, I was shocked too, but there's no doubt about it. Something's definately going on." Nami stated.
"Dinner's ready!" Sanji yelled out. The trio stood up to go inside the dining room, Franky and Brook already inside.
Zoro somehow got lost after Luffy left him and returned with Jinbei. Luffy, instead of rushing to dinner, stared at Robin and Law.
Robin said something and Law replied with a casual smile. Sanji called out to Luffy "Luffy! The food's gonna get cold."
Luffy replied "Ah! Food! Food!" He rushed inside. Sanji puffed out a cigarette and looked up towards Robin and Law before going inside too.
"Hey, I've been noticing..." Sanji mentioned, putting out his cigarette. "Aren't those two, sticking together like glue?"
Franky looked at Sanji "Who?" Usopp replied while chewing "Ah, you know—Robin and Law"
Sanji started biting his shirt while his eyes were bawling. "Ah! I'm so jealous! I wanna spend time with Robin-chwan too!" He whined.
Zoro commented on his behavior "Shut up, Love-cook." Of course, those two ended up fighting again.
"Yohohoho! Robin and Law? That's interesting!" Brook added. "
Still, I didn't expect Law to be interested in romance." Jinbei commented.
"You think so?" Luffy asked.
Franky laughed out loud "That's SUPER interesting. However, you guys are forgetting something" Nami and Ussop looked at him confused.
"Well, I'll let you guys find out" Franky continued, laughing again.
Luffy has been with Law for quite a long time, he sees Law as cold but pretty kind when it comes to it. For some reason everytime someone mentions those two, his heart throbs. He ignores it, thinking it's some sort of injury from their previous adventure.
However, it's starting to bother him. Everytime he goes to talk to Law, all Law spits out is a question about Robin's whereabouts. After learning where Robin is, he leaves Luffy and goes to Robin.
He's seen them around the Sunny often, one time he even saw them so close, both heads stuck in one book. He wants to know what they're doing but everytime he tries to go closer, someone from the crew stops him.
It was painfully obvious. The strawhats were avoiding Law whenever he's with Robin, and were awkward when it was just him. Not just that, Luffy is being weird too.
He felt distant, and he hated it. He sees Luffy from a far, laughing with Zoro. It makes him click his tongue, why was he so joyful with others but him? He goes up to them not knowing why himself. "
Mugiwara-ya." Law called out. Luffy looked up at him waiting for him to say something. Law looked at him too, waiting for him to call his name, ramble on about something, annoy him, anything.
Law clicked his tongue and walked away. "What's his problem?" Luffy asked "beats me" Zoro responded.
