It was another normal day… except for Kai and Laurie… they were showering together for the first time… they stared at each other awkwardly… Kai covering both of her body parts… still insecure about her body… Laurie smiled but it didn’t meet her eyes… she put mer hand over Kai’s where it was still covering. Kai looked away.
Laurie: “Kai. Look at me… please.”
She turned her head back to Laurie… her eyes still away…
Laurie: “Kai.”
Kai’s eyes met Laurie’s… she felt the blondes thumb graze her thigh, her hand resting on it. Kai whimpered softly at the moment.
Kai: “Laurie. I’m sorry… I-“
Laurie immediately cut her off.
Laurie: “don’t. Don’t apologize. You being trans doesn’t change how I feel… I don’t care. Girl or boy. Or whatever you are, I will support you no matter what…”
Kai moved her hands away from her parts and Laurie smiled softly. Kai teared up and swallowed…
Kai: “I love you so much…”
She muttered while she hugged Laurie. Her tears flowing down as she tried to hide them… Laurie hugged her tight and kissed her forehead softly. A minute or two later she pulled back from the hug. She cupped Kai’s cheeks and wiped her tears with her thumbs. She pulled Kai in and kissed her deeply…

Laurie and Kai dried off… they got dressed… Kai put on a dark green baggy shirt, and black sweatpants. Laurie put on a grey sports bra, and black cargo pants. They got in the bed, facing each other, the TV playing softly. Laurie held Kai in her arms. She curled around her protectively.
Laurie: “I love you Kai. Remember that.”
Kai looked up… her eyes sparkling…
Kai: “I love you too… and I will…”
She buried her head in Laurie’s chest and closed her eyes. Her breathing calming. Laurie stroked her hair and buried her face in lair hair and breathed in deeply. She fell asleep soon after too. They slept, a literal entangled pile of limbs.
