Chapter Text
The Seven(plus Nico, Will, and Reyna) were camping. Annabeth drove, Piper was in the passenger seat, Nico, Will, Hazel and Percy were in the middle row, and Reyna, Frank, Leo and Jason in the back row. Jason and Reyna were in the window seats, Leo was next to Jason and Frank was next to Reyna. At one point, Leo dozed off and leaned on Jason’s shoulder. Jason stiffened, then realized that the brunette boy was asleep. He relaxed a bit, and wrapped his arm around Leo’s shoulder, making sure that he was secure. He knew better, but he couldn’t help stroking Leo’s cheek with his thumb. After a while, Leo had started to wake up, and Jason quickly moved his hand away from Leo’s face. But he wasn’t fast enough.
“Jason? What… what are you doing?”
Jason looked away, his face hot. “You fell asleep on me. I was using my arm as a seatbelt so that you didn’t go flying…” Jason wasn’t lying, but he wasn’t telling the whole truth either.
“You okay?” Reyna asked, having clearly been listening the whole time.
Shit. Jason thought. “Uhh, yeah, we’re good.” He said, hoping that that was true.
He was still trying to not make eye contact with anyone, but Annabeth caught his eye in the rearview. His face went red, and he looked down. Annabeth just chuckled.
