Work Text:

"Nervous?"

Seokjin raises his eyes to meet Yoongi's in the mirror, hands braced on each side of the sink. He gives a small smile.

"A little." He admits, fingering the expensive cufflinks in his palm. Yoongi's dark eyes are reflected in the gilded mirror, watching him.

"You don't have to be." Yoongi runs a finger across the edge of the marble sink. "As the chief architect of this building, I assure you, nothing will fall on anyone's heads unless you want it to."

Seokjin throws back his head and laughs, turning to brace himself against the counter.

"No killing anyone today." He promises, making quick work of the cufflinks, throwing them in the bin. He opts for rolling up his sleeves instead, brushing a lock of pink hair away from his eyes. "How's the look?"

"Royal." Namjoon replies, slinking into the washroom as well. "Are you ready? There are so many people outside, it's beginning to bother me, hyung."

"Namjoon-ie." Seokjin grins slightly in relief as Yoongi claps the taller on the shoulder.

"That's your job as the co-director of this place, Joon-ah." Yoongi still looks tense, but at least the tension around his eyes have eased.

"I'm Director, not head of PR." Namjoon sulks, and Seokjin smiles at him. Seokjin readies himself with a deep breath. The cue cards are located in his back pocket, his hair is nothing less than perfect, and his white shirt is unstained and unwrinkled. He turns to check himself in the mirror again.

"Perfect." Namjoon tells him, caging him against the polished marble and pressing his chin into his shoulder. Seokjin looks into his reflection. Namjoon's presence is familiar, welcoming, and even Yoongi's trademark scowling expression changes into a smile when their eyes meet. The three of them, together as always facing the pressure. Just like old times.

Seokjin takes another deep breath. Closes his eyes to take in this moment, Namjoon's chin in his shoulder, Yoongi's comfortable presence behind me.

"Okay." He mutters. Opens his eyes. "Let's go."
