It’s never been this quiet before.
There’s always some kind of noise being made, evidence of the life within your walls. Snoring, from the floor or the couch or the bed, the burbling of the coffee machine, chatter and laughter in your rooms or the hallway outside or the rooftop above.
The commotion earlier wasn’t joyous.
Violent noises are not unknown to you, but this was vengeful and vicious, the explosions localized and targeted with brutal intent.
You don’t know why.
You don’t know what happens now.
You do know that everything has changed.
It’s never been this quiet before.
