“I bet you can’t do it,” Damen prompted. “I bet you can’t spend one day alone with Nikandros without fighting.”
A light flickered in Laurent’s eyes.
“I know exactly what you are doing,” he told Damen. “It is not going to work.”
“I am not doing anything,” Damen said, his lips curling up. “I am simply stating a fact. I don’t think you can do it.”
With an overdramatic huff, Laurent bit out, “Fine, if you can convince Nikandros to spend the day with me, I will agree to it. We will be perfectly fucking civil and end the day as brothers in arms.”
“Really?” Damen asked, pleasantly surprised. He didn’t think it would be that easy.
“Really,” Laurent assured him with a grin that was positively feline. “And if we do not argue, you will agree to marry me. If I prove we can get along, there will be no more reason to put it off.”
Damen smirked. “Deal.”
