   Summary

Forgiveness is a lie; Albert prefers the taste of iron. When the storm traps them together, the vintage in the bottle is merely a prelude to the crimson bead blooming under the edge of a stolen dagger. Albert is no longer the wide-eyed boy who watched his teacher kill; he is the man who realized that a master belongs to his pupil, body and soul. In the shadows of Krakow, the bread is cold, the wine is bitter, and the only thing worth consuming is the man who thought he could ever truly escape.
