Chapter Text
When people think of rabbits they tend to imagine cute, fuffly little things. Balls of fluff that couldn't hurt a fly, so when hybrids became mainstream the thought process carried over. Rabbit hybrids were expected to be cute.
This meant that many people receive a bit of a shock when meeting the over six foot brick house that is König, a giant flemish rabbit hybrid. He wasn't little or cute, no. He was big, imposing, and when circumstances called for it, mean.
People quickly learned he was the one rabbit everyone learned not to mess with one way or another. He kicked sandbags off their chains and could break down doors with just his brute strength. This meant that no one bothered him, but that also meant he wasn't very close to anyone. Sure he had Horangi, the guy made sure they were getting along. At the end of the day though...he was a tiger and König's a rabbit. He wanted to bond with another rabbit.
König nearly felt his heart leap out of his chest when Horangi came to him rambling on about another person joining KorTac, rumored another rabbit. He practically raced to the tarmac, hoping and praying the rumors were true. They were, a black suv pulled up and out popped you with a duffle bag.
A lop rabbit, for the first time in his life König understood what people were on about. You were adorable! One of the smallest rabbit breeds with long ears that drooped behind your head and a tail small enough to count as a ball of fluff. Your eyes met as you walked across the asphalt and König knew instantly that he had to get to know you, and get to know you he did.
The first this he did was offer to show you around, show off places that weren't apart of the normal quick tour about the necessities. Then he volunteered to be your sparing partner, what better way to learn the ropes then by fighting against the biggest guy there? He did pull his punches at least a little bit at first, but when you quickly proved you could handle getting thrown around he put his all into it. Hanging out after the sparing became common too, eventually König was attached to your hip.
You ate together, trained together, worked alot of the same jobs together, and even ended up spending most of your off time together too. At first you both tried to play it off as just being freinds, you were just two rabbits bonding over a common trait! Yeah...that didn't last long.
There wasn't a big confession, no one asked the other out, or made some big romantic move. Instead König found himself snuggled up in your bed watching some movie on a laptop one random night. Your laying with you head back on his shoulder and he suddenly feels something other then your breath. It's almost easy to miss at first, the quick light lick you give to his ear. The second is easier to recognize, he couldn't exactly say he was suprised to have you start trying to groom him but he was still flustered.
From then on you two got more and more affectionate. He'd take your hand, or you hold onto his arm while walking around outside. You'd both trade quick kisses or nips to the ears when snuggling together in bed. König often lays with his head against your chest, his arms locked around you play with his hair. Sometimes you lick the crown of his head too, just to mess with him. He'll do it back to you too, it's sort of a fight over who can get groom the other longer without getting caught.
König may not be what people imagine when they think of rabbits but when he thinks about rabbits, he thinks of you. He's very happy to be able to call you his, even if you end up kicking him in your sleep every once in a while. It's okay though because he has a habit of rolling over and crushing you in his sleep.
