He’s sticking!

Summary:

This prompt came from Kbetho3 on ao3

I have a prompt! How about a future fic where Peter and MJ have a child (named Anthony Benjamin Parker if you can fit that in there) and don’t know Peter’s Spider traits would pass on. Grandpa Tony discovers this while babysitting and calls Peter for his help getting him off the ceiling. Peter freaks out at first before doing it and then tells MJ when she gets off work

Notes:

Everyone say thank you Kbetho3 for this wonderful and fluffy idea! I tried to make your wishes as best as possible

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Peter had just gotten off work.

He had a meeting with a branch of Stark Industries that creates first prototypes of repulser similar hover-craft tech.

Unfortunately, they were of the opinion that their research was too important to get such a “small” budget.

Ever since Peter turned 20 he started working at Stark industries.

And it was great! Tony had first offered him a higher position, but Peter denied.

He had wanted to earn the respect he had now.
If only the hover-craft researcher thought so too.

After a long day he took his sleek silver Audi—which Tony had gifted him, and drove to the small house where MJ and he lived.

Peter let himself drop onto the couch.

Damn hover-craft idiots.

He just had to send another email or two before greeting MJ when she will return home after a couple of hours of work.

Today had been a stressful day. Not just for him, but for MJ too. Luckily they had been aware of that yesterday and scheduled little Anthony Jones to be with his grandfather Tony for the day.

Until a little incident, the day for Tony and Tony jr. (Tony let the fact that MJ and Peter named their child after him get to his head) had been pretty much uneventful.

Tony had picked up the kid in the morning and directly took him to the Avengers tower.

Not much had changed there, since Tony had snapped and was revived. The Avengers still lived at the tower and from time to time took on missions.

Tony had fed the little Anthony first and was surprised as he inhaled his food with great enthusiasm—just like his father.

Tony had chuckled slightly and made a mental note to tease Peter about that, when dropping the kid back off.

After playing with the small child, Tony had sung jr. a lullaby, while rocking him back and forth.

When Anthony’s small lids started drooping, Tony lied him down in the crib he insisted to get, a small smile adorning the adults face.

Tony too, had to send some emails off. So he sat on the big couch and started typing.

He clicked “send” while at the same time letting out a big sigh. Nevertheless, he loved his job and wouldn’t retire anytime soon, no matter how often Pepper tried to bring the topic up.

He closed the newest starktop and rested his eyes for a second, head dropping on the couch wall.

But no.

With a small child just a few meters across from him, he couldn’t sleep. He had to watch him. His protective brain wouldn’t let him get a second of rest.

So Tony braced his hands on his knees and stood up with a groan.

Damn. Maybe he really was getting old.

Tony strode into the nursery and peeked his head over the crib, expecting to find a peaceful, lightly snoring but sleeping baby.

But the crib was empty.

Tony froze.

Shit, shit, shit, shit.

He lost the kid.
He lost the kid and he had to find little Anthony.

Tony frantically started searching the room—checking underneath the bed, opening every drawer and closet.

But nothing.

The child was nowhere to be found.

Tony’s breathing started to pick up. Rapidly.
His heart was beating faster and his mind making up many terrible situations.

He started to panic. Even slower breathing didn’t help and Tony started shaking.

Until he heard a quiet, happy cooing. A baby. Tony’s eyes darted around but not spotting the source of the sound.

Another cooing and a familiar cackle.

And Tony froze again. Slowly—very slowly he lifted his head, looking at the high ceiling.

𝙊𝙝 𝙣𝙤…

There he was. Little Tony jr. was crawling across the ceiling like it was the floor—cackling and babbling like it was a regular Tuesday.

Immediately, Tony stretched his hands out, preparing to catch the little kid.

But he seemed quite safe. He was 𝘴 𝘵 𝘪 𝘤 𝘬 𝘪 𝘯 𝘨 .

And that’s when Tony realized

The kid had inherited his father’s unusual. powers—something that they didn’t even think was possible.

“Come on kid! Get over here buddy!” Tony tried luring the baby off the ceiling, but nothing seemed to work.

So he made a decision. “FRIDAY alert me if the kid wobbles, shifts or even moves in a way that seems unsafe”

“Sure thing boss” came the answer of the trusty AI and Tony darted out of the room, sprinting to one of his many labs, hoping to see a tall and sturdy enough ladder to get the kid down.

Luckily, Tony quickly found a ladder and could successfully fish Anthony off the ceiling. The kid wasn’t too happy of Tony actions, waving his little fists in Tony’s face.

Tony just grabbed him and dropped on a comfortable chair open the living room, Tony jr. cradled in his arms.

“FRIDAY, if you could ask Peter to get over here and show him the footage of what just happened, that’d be cool. Oh and also tell him that I am so close before another heart attack.”

FRIDAY, noticing the sarcasm in his voice just agreed and notified Peter of the event.

“Peter has just gotten the message and footage is on its way.” She informed Tony.

“Thanks darling”

When Peter had gotten a message from Tony that looked strongly like FRIDAY had wrote it, he first groaned. He really didn’t want to handle more stress right now.

But then Peter actually started to read the message, and the more he read, the wider his eyes grew.

Peter sprinted to his Audi and looked at the attached video footage.

He didn’t know what to think. Was he happy that his son inherited his traits?
Or was he worried about the risks that came with having this big responsibility.

Because that was just it, wasn’t it?

With great power comes great responsibility.

That was still the motto Peter was using when going on patrol every day. And he didn’t want that weight on Anthony’s shoulders. Right?

Peter speeded over the streets of Queens. He couldn’t crash the car even if he tried—his Spider senses were always present.

His mind was racing and with every passing minute he worried more and wished he’d just swung over to the tower.

When he arrived, he parked his car in Tony’s precious robotic valet system and strode through the glass doors.
Peter flicked his badge to the security guard, even though they knew him, Peter wanted to be thorough.

And they always nicely ignored the way too high “clearance level 10” on his badge.

Peter stepped through the elevator, needing to be with his son.
“Take me to them FRIDAY”. His voice didn’t waver.

After what felt like a hundred years, the elevator doors opened—revealing a domestic picture.

Tony cradled little Anthony in his lap, both of their heads leaned back and eyes closed.

Peter sighed and his shoulders dropped. He was way too worried. Little Tony was exactly that—little. Peter didn’t have to worry about future problems of the inherited powers.

Because it would take years until the topic would be brought up.

~~~~~~~
Tony and Peter ended up having the time of their lives, playing with Tony Jr , cuddling and tickling until all three were exhausted.
~~~~~~~

Two months after that little Anthony took his first steps.

On the ceiling of the lobby in SI.

MJ had freaked when she noticed and asked FRIDAY where her child was.
Luckily, SI was a busy company.

And no one had noticed the little kid crawling across chandeliers.

Notes:

LEAVE A KUDOS🥰👹

My headcanon is lowkey that When MJ and Peter married they both kept their family name but when Anthony was born, they gave him MJs name bc she always had family problems and basically wanted to make a better job in parenting than her parents and Peter just said that their kid should have her name
But MJ didn’t want the double name, Jones-Watson but only Jones

Another thing is I loved writing Tony as a loving grandfather and I wish he could’ve been one in canon but… krzkrzkr

What are y’all talking about🙂Tony is alive!

Def tell me ur thoughts abt this with a lil prompt in the comments! & :3 lil peek into my thoughts.

I want to make some Peter parker oneshots and I am accepting prompts.

All prompt requests should be in these ao3 comments.

It doesn’t matter if you just wanted another take on a well known trope, if you came up with an idea on a whim or just want anything else.

Some things that I will not be writing.

-anything with crossovers not in the MCU like Batman, Superman or even Percy Jackson

-Anything with Harley Keener involved or mentioned

-the same goes for harry osborn

-starker

I hope you can respect these things!

I also don’t care if it’s fluff or angst, I will write anything. Stay safe, enjoy and write a prompt!
