Work Text:
The car bumped on the road softly, making Katsuki jostle between Kirishima and Denki. He grunted and turned to the window. The road ran by quick, and the sky began to turn from a deeper blue to a melting gold.
Mina turned the wheel. As she played with a coil in her hair, she looked back at the guys. "Where do y'all want to eat? There's Tardy's, Cow-Ca-Lay, and a Ms. Donalds coming up."
Denki pressed a hand into Katsuki's thigh, leaning up to yell to the front seat. "Ms. Donalds!"
Katsuki shot him a sharp glare and shoved off the hand that dug into his thigh. "Fucking boundaries, Dunce Face."
Denki smiled sweetly and leaned over, making a kissing sound at Bakugo.
So fucking annoying.
Katsuki leaned away, only for Kirishima to shout, "Aw, he loves you! So manly!"
In the front seat, Sero snickered loudly.
"Fuck you too, Sero," Katsuki said, shooting Kirishima and Denki a middle finger from both hands before folding his arms and sitting back, pressing himself into the firm leather of the seat. "Ms. Donalds is junk. Tardy's is even a better choice than that shit."
The car stopped suddenly.
Mina raised a brow, shooting the men in the backseat a look. "Well, while you were all doing your theatrics, I went with Denki's choice… plus it's cheap."
Denki "yes'd," adding more emphasis to the s's, and darted out of the car.
With a smirk, Kirishima stepped out. Mina and Sero followed, and Katsuki stepped out last, slamming the door. "Fine. When you all still have that burger in your stomach a year from now, don't say shit to me!"
Idiots… but my idiots.

Katsuki walked with his shoulders hunched, catching up to his friends entering the Ms. Donalds.
Change jingled in the cash register, the scent of burgers wafted through the air—which didn't impress Katsuki much—and pop music blared from above in the Ms. Donalds. Most of their friends had ordered and sat down; however, Mina and Katsuki hadn't.
Katsuki crossed his arms, scrutinizing the processed food on the menu.
Mina shifted her weight to both sides. "Ummmm, yes, that will be all. Just extra mustard on my burger, please." She passed her money over and walked away from the register.
"Hi!" the worker exclaimed, with a sparkle in his earnest green eyes. "Do you need any more time to look at the…"
Fucking doe emeralds… He's…
Katsuki froze, moving his gaze to the wild curls the boy wore, spacing out.
Thud-Thump-Thud
"Um…" the male asked, rubbing the back of his head. "Did you hear what I said?"
Katsuki shook his head and glared at the boy with freckles smattered across his face like a wild painting. "Yes, obviously. I just want a medium fry."
*Deku*, his name tag read.
"R-right." Deku froze for a moment, emeralds flicking over Katsuki's face before scrambling his scarred hands across the order screen. His face seemed to turn a more blazing red by the second. "A-anything else?" Deku asked, making eye contact with Katsuki and dropping his gaze after two seconds back to the screen.
He's cu— No. He's weird. That's what the fuck he is.
Katsuki nodded no and handed Deku the money, ignoring the electricity shooting up his fingers as their hands met. The worker—Deku—pulled his hand back quickly, put the money into the register, handed Katsuki his change, and then speed-walked off to the back.
Katsuki couldn't control him self at the moment, and found himself leaning over to spot the boy talking frantically to a pink-cheeked girl. Then green eyes landed on him peering, and Katsuki yanked himself away towards the table his friends sat at, making the drinks slosh aggressively.
He received strange looks from the table.
"Um… bro?" Sero started.
Katsuki shot him a middle finger and pulled out his phone to tap aggressively on whatever could distract him from the freckled guy.
Why am I so… fucking distracted??? He's just a worker. A nobody.
"So…" Mina started, taking a sip of her soda. "That boy at the front was kinda cute."
Katsuki shrunk into his seat and tapped on his phone harder.
Denki piped up. "Oh yeah, he was." He bit his lip and laughed. "Do you think I could get his number maybe?"
The rest of the table rallied, telling him to go for it, until Katsuki slammed his phone down. "Stop thinking with your dick, Dunce Face."
"What if I actually like him?"
"Fucking doubt it."
"Jealous?"
"You fuck—" Katsuki started, reaching over. "I'll blast you to hell."
"Nahhhh, you love me, Blasty!"
A familiar voice interrupted the interaction. "Uh… uhm, I have your food."
They both sat down instantly. The smell of warm food floated from where Izuku stood, but that's not what Katsuki's focus was on.
Instead his crimson gaze pulled toward the work slacks pulling against those thick thighs and cute hips. He snapped his gaze away, trying to ignore the heat climbing his face quick.
Mina looked at Katsuki oddly and answered Deku. "You can place the tray right here, hun."
Deku shifted and stood a moment longer. "If you need anything else, I'm just, uh, over here. Bye."
Katuki's Crimson eyes subtly tracked his cute pert ass and the sway off his hips, then snapped his attention back to his phone.
As soon as Deku went around the corner, Mina slapped her hands on the table, making the tray almost slip off the edge. Then she pointed an accusatory finger at Katsuki. "YOU LIKE FRECKLED CUTIE!"
"Stop talking so damn loud and fuck off!" Katsuki yelled, snatching his fries off the tray.
"Ohh, Bakubro, there's nothing wrong with having a little crush," Sero sing-songed.
Kirishima wrapped an arm around Bakugo's shoulder. "Yeah, that's so manlyyy."
Katsuki moved away. "I don't have a fucking crush."
"And that's why your face is so red, right?" Denki said, poking his cheek.
Katsuki groaned, putting his face in his hands. "I hate all of you…"
Their laughs chimed around him as he shoved a fry into his mouth.

After they'd teased him about his supposed crush, they fell back into their regular disharmonic rhythm of banter and antics for about an hour. Then they were ready to go.
Mina rubbed her belly and yawned. "Y'all ready to go?"
They all groaned in agreement, except Katsuki, who stared at the table, subtly imagining those smatterings of freckles. His friends left the table, and he trailed behind slowly, glancing back to see Deku sweeping the floor.
"I'll catch up with y'all later…"
"Hmm?" Mina hummed, confused, but gasped. "Ohhhh~. Take your time, Bakubabe."
Katsuki rolled his eyes and leaned against a wall with his arms crossed, watching those scarred hands wrap around the broomstick, the way those curls framed his face like an imperfect yet gorgeous painting.
Deku wiped his forehead and looked up, a blush immediately flooding his face. Then he turned, seemingly looking for help or guidance, only to be met with the pink-cheeked girl smiling evilly and clocking out.
"Is that your girlfriend or something?" Katsuki asked, breaking the silence—well, besides the pop music blaring obnoxiously overhead.
"N-no. She's more like a sister or cousin to me than anything…" He answered, blowing a curl out of his face and leaning against the broomstick.
Neither of them said anything else.
Deku bit his lip, gaze lidding at Katsuki.
Katsuki coughed. "Give me your fucking number."
"Huh?" Deku asked, slipping from the broomstick.
"I'm not repeating myself."
"…Why?"
"So I can prank call you— So I can fucking get to know you or whatever."
"Right." Deku blushed and took Bakugo's phone from his hand. He typed his number in with a tremble and handed it back. "You… want to date me?"
"S'not obvious?"
"Not really… I've not really had much experience with people being attracted to me or wanting to do anything with me, so…" Deku pushed some hair behind his ear with a frown.
Dumbasses
"Well, those fuckers missed out…”
Midoriya’s gaze widened at that, and Bakugo brushed over the vulnerability quick. “Text you later." he said as he moved towards the door.
Then suddenly, a warm hand wrapped around his wrist and pulled him close. "What the f—"
Soft lips pressed into his cheek, and for the first time in his life, Katsuki melted—like rich dark chocolate in warmth.
"I'm looking forward to getting to know you…"
"Katsuki… I'm Katsuki." He answered, softer than he wanted.
"Well, good night, Katsuki…" Deku whispered.
And with that, Katsuki trailed out the door, palm cupping his cheek, and the red, orange, and yellow of the sky fell across his face. He stopped and turned back once to wave, and Deku waved back softly. H0wever, he instantly groaned once he was swarmed with excited cheers and hugs from his friends.
"Dude, you are so manly!"
"I knew you liked him!" Mina cheered.
"Okay, get the fuck offa me." He smirked. "Let's go home."
Katsuki trailed behind them to the car.
