Time slowed down.
Did Izuku want to date anyone at all? He’d never really given thought to being in a romantic relationship before. Sure, he’d had passing fancys, but...
Was it so different from being friends with someone? It was, wasn’t it? Being someone’s boyfriend meant going on dates, doing things like holding hands and eating crepes together. Was that something he wanted to do? Something he wanted to do with Todoroki?
Todoroki wasn’t the type to be forward with his feelings. To do something this bold meant he’d given it a lot of thought. He was so brave! Izuku would have never had the guts to come out and just ask someone out like this. Why was Todoroki so much cooler than he was? If Todoroki was willing to put himself out there like this, then Izuku should have the decency to really consider him. Ask to have some time to think about this, and give a proper response in no less than three days.
He opened his mouth to say that.
“Okay,” he said instead. “I’d love to go out.”
