   Summary

   Eventually the day will come when Satoru’s not here anymore, and what if Megumi realizes he didn’t hug him enough? What if he remembers all the time they could’ve spent together, all the time Megumi could’ve taken to let Satoru know how much he cares for him, how grateful he is for giving him a life he wasn’t supposed to have, for showing up one day all those years ago, and for showing up every day since then? Megumi is familiar with self-loathing, and right now, imagining a future where he let their relationship fade, where he took Satoru for granted and never said anything until he lost the chance to say everything, he knows how deeply he would hate himself for allowing that to happen.
