Summary
Their eyes were dulled out. Hollow. The setting sun was trying to play tricks on Neil's damp eyes- A sparkle in the pupils that could fool any hopeful man. Neil hadn’t even registered their lower half, their stomach… was bleeding too, till he felt the damp cold of liquid pool at his stomach, staining his own clothing. Neil’s hands scrambled to try and cover the wounds. Bullets. They were bullet wounds fired by Bridges.

“What’s new?”
Lucy crossed her legs, hands readjusting on the tablet she kept in her lap. She looked down, then back up at Neil who was sitting across from her. He was hunching over, waiting for her to respond as he bounced his knee repeatedly.
“That part in the dream. I don’t remember you having ever mentioned seeing anyone. Let alone hearing anyone say something to you.”
Neil dipped his head forward, didn’t respond.
