   Summary

   Shane Hollander likes his routine as a graduate student in the chemistry department at the University of Toronto. He gets to lab early, he plays intramural hockey once a week, he monitors the use of the department's nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer every Monday night. Just a couple more years of keeping his head down and he'll graduate with his PhD. That is, until a new research group arrives: one that includes brash Russian graduate student Ilya Rozanov.
