“What’s with the silly grin?” Sirius asks James because he’s been looking at him with what could only be described as heart eyes for the better part of an hour. “Been hit by cupid’s arrow or something?”
James flushes. “I did get an arrow to arse earlier today, but I think it’s less cupid’s arrow and more … my gorgeous boyfriend is so effortlessly gorgeous that I can’t resist looking at him with love.”
Sirius chuckles, more than a bit pleased by James’ love for him, something that he hadn’t been sure that he’d get much of the year before when James had been decidedly straight (or at least that’s what he thought).
He leans over and kisses James.
“Well, then, I suppose that I should let you stare away.”
“Or we could kiss instead,” James says, moving so that he can sit in Sirius’ lap. “Cupid says kissing is good in the month of February.”
Sirius laughs. “As if we need Cupid to tell us to that we should be kissing.”
“I take that as a yes.”
“Always assume kissing you is a yes.”
“Good.”
