Chapter Text
Dust.
Warm, orange dust spreads across the landscape. It seemed as if the town had been deserted, buildings empty hollow shells of their former selves. A dusty wind blows past, and you stifle a sneeze. Every step you take in the orange wasteland echoes across the landscape, and the steps also create a small dust cloud. Holes containing bones litter the landscape, while pink skinned humanoids with six eyes occasionally contrast the bright orange landscape.
Just where were you?
As you walked across the dead earth, you call out for someone to respond.
“Hello? Is anyone there?” You call out into the desolate land. No response.
You wander, occasionally taking peeks behind the abandoned buildings. None pique your interest, when suddenly, you notice a lone girl wandering the land. A yellow dress and crimson hair that seems to blend with the land, but something about her beckons you to near.
Before you can even think, your legs act before your brain. You start walking towards the funny looking girl.
“Hey? Uhh.. do you know where I am, uh..?” You say, practically stumbling over your own words as you stare at the girl.
“Huh? Are you.. TALKING TO ME??? MOI??? <:O” She said, in an exaggerated way that beckoned you to either chuckle or be annoyed.
“Um.. yes? Who are you?” You questioned her. Maybe you wont find out where you are, but you’ll have someone to share the desolate landscape with.
“Mwaahaa!! I’m the ceo of this place!! Duhh!! XP” she said, so unconvincingly that you knew it was a lie.
“Pooo! Don do that sour face!! 0_o ok FINEEE im taski maiden UR NO FUNNN!!” She pouted, sticking out her tongue as her red hair bounced as much as herself. She seemed to have boundless energy, too much sugar or something, i guess.
“Um, well, hello taski, im.. [reader].” You said. Up close, the girl you now know as taski seemed radiant, something about her pulled you in like you gravitated towards her.
“Well, MX. [READER], LEAVE AN UNEMPLOYED GIRLY ALONE!! I have much more important business to attend to! >:PPP” she said to you.
As you stood in the dusty wasteland, you thought to yourself one last time as she walked away, leaving you alone.
I really really REALLY want to talk to her again.
