Having two wonderful girlfriends was a blessing for Adora. Obviously, her falling for Catra had done wonders for her, made her feel complete for the first time in her life, but adding Glimmer to the mix had made Adora's love life finally feel whole. The two most wonderful women in her life and Adora was proud to call them her lovers. The three of them were practically inseparable now.
However, those two girlfriends of hers happened to be two of the most competitive, antagonistic women on the entire planet. There was nothing they wouldn't find themselves getting into an argument about. And today, it seemed like Adora once again would have to play peacemaker between the two of them, assuming she didn't get dragged into one side of the argument herself. Glimmer and Catra could be very persuasive with their respective sides of an argument.
As Adora got back from her morning patrol with Swift Wind, she and her steed overheard Glimmer and Catra bickering again in Glimmer's room. She couldn't make out what they were saying but... as usual it was sounding very intense. Already it sounded like they’d gotten to the ‘throwing furniture at each other’ stage.
"Think they're gonna kill each other or kiss each other?" Swifty joked.
"Hopefully not the former," Adora remarked, heading down the hallway to the Queen's chambers. "I’d better go see what’s up with them. I'll see you later, buddy."
“Good luck!” Swift Wind replied before he took to the air once again.
At least Adora was hopeful that this time, she wouldn't have to physically pry Glimmer and Catra off one another with her She-Ra strength. As she walked into Glimmer's room, the door already open, Adora clearly saw Catra and Glimmer were indeed ready to throw hands with each other over something. Catra's claws were already bared and Glimmer seemed inches away from blasting Catra, sparks of energy already forming in her fists.
"Get real, Sparkles!" Catra growled. "If anyone's gonna claim the title of most important person in Adora's life, it's gonna be me. Adora would have died if I hadn't been there for her at the Heart."
"Oh please!" Glimmer argued, rolling her eyes. "You might have helped save her in the end, Horde Scum, but I was saving her butt for two whole years. I was the one who helped her see the Horde was evil, and I was the one who helped her get settled into the rebellion. If anything, I'm the most important person to Adora!"
"Look, I know you're a queen which means you can basically have anything you want, but you gotta face facts, Twinkle Twinkle. I got to Adora first!"
Catra and Glimmer.... were really arguing over her? Adora blinked, surprised that her favour had become something for Catra and Glimmer to compete over. Instantly, she stepped forward and put her foot down. "Alright, what are you two bickering about?"
"You actually!" Glimmer pointed out.
"Hey Adora, can you help me knock some sense into our girlfriend here?" Catra snarked.
"No, I'm not taking sides here because quite frankly, it's a bit silly for you girls to be arguing over me like this," Adora stated, breaking out her stern voice.
"It's not, Sparkles just needs to accept that I came first!" Catra sniped in.
"No, she doesn't... and you don't have to start this with her either," Adora insisted, sitting down with Glimmer and Catra on the nearby couch and taking both of their hands into her own. "I love you both with all of my heart. Catra, you are always going to be the hero who won my heart and gave me a reason to live again. Glimmer, you were one of the first people to truly show me kindness when I left the Horde and you taught me that I could love in the first place.”
Her steel blue eyes glared at Catra and Glimmer with a piercing gaze. “You are my girlfriends and I will have none of this petty bickering from the two of you. Do I make myself clear ladies?"
Catra and Glimmer were both blushing bright red because... well, Adora's serious voice was hot. Adora blinked, surprised that Catra and Glimmer stopped so quickly. Oblivious as always to how utterly attractive she was, Adora proudly put her hands on her hips, her famous smug face appearing before her two girlfriends. "Well, I'm glad you both saw reason!"
"Yeah well you can be very... forceful when you want to be," Catra remarked, looking away.
"Ditto from me," Glimmer added, still blushing bright red.
Adora pulled Glimmer in close and kissed her deeply. Glimmer squeaked as Adora pulled her onto her lap and kissed her passionately. Glimmer wriggled but eventually surrendered, knowing how easily overpowering Adora’s love could be. When Adora broke the kiss, Glimmer was looking at her with very hazy eyes.
With Glimmer in a daze, Adora then yanked Catra down and kissed her as well. Catra purred loudly right away, Adora ferociously kissing her girlfriend and threading her fingers through her hair and fur. It was clear to her that both of her girlfriends were urgently in need of a reminder like this.
Adora chuckled as she pulled away from kissing Catra, looking at the two loves of her life. "Seriously, I can't believe you actually got into a fight about me. It's... almost adorable that you got jealous like that."
Her girlfriends were still blushing, but then Glimmer smirked at Adora, knowing an easy way to get back at her. "Well, we know you can get jealous too? After all, how many times have you gotten very protective over Catra whenever she even talks to another woman?"
Whimpering, Adora pouted and looked away. "I-I do not get jealous like that! B-Besides, didn’t Catra get super jealous when Huntara visited a few weeks ago?”
“Oh I did, but you?” Catra laughed. “Oh Adora, remember the last time you got jealous when were got those visitors from Highpoint last month and I talked to the duchess from there and you got so jealous, you broke out She-Ra?”
“Ohhhh that was so funny!”
“Stop it! I really don’t get jealous!” But Adora’s face was already bright red.
"Gee, are you sure?" Catra said with a toothy grin as she and Glimmer ganged up on their girlfriend. "Technically, you should be extra jealous of Sparkles because she got to kiss me first."
"And I fell for Catra first while we were on Horde Prime's ship," Glimmer pointed out. "So yeah, you should be getting pretty jealous of me right now, Adora?"
"Okay can you just stop please," Adora whined, getting very flustered. "I think I liked it better when you were at each other's throats. You two can be so cruel."
Catra kept grinning, laying her head on Adora's shoulder."You know you love us."
Glimmer plopped down on Adora's other shoulder. "And you're basically stuck with us at this point."
"And obviously I love you most," Catra bragged. “I mean, that’s just obvious from the fact that we’re Etheria’s number one couple.”
"Oho, oh no, I love her most!" Glimmer insisted. "I'm a Queen, I'm obviously going to have more authority in matters like this. And we’re Etheria’s number one throuple thank you very much.”
"Please, this stupid kingdom of yours would fall apart without me helping you," Catra snarked.
Internally, Adora groaned, knowing Catra and Glimmer's bickering was going to start all over again. Before things got too out of hand, Adora’s hands yanked both Catra and Glimmer in close and she smirked at them. Glimmer and Catra surrendered as Adora looked at them with a dominant, adoring gaze.
“Catra, Glimmer, we just talked about this, there’s plenty more of me to go around for the both of you,” Adora pointed out, squeezing them with her muscular arms.
“Okay we get it,” Catra whimpered, as she and Glimmer shyly buried themselves into Adora’s form.
“Good girls~” Adora whispered, before kissing Glimmer on the forehead and Catra on the lips.
