PEOPLE say that on your wedding day, your life changes forever.
Yours truly did—but not for the reason people usually imagine (marrying the love of your life), but rather for the opposite reason.
When you're supposed to say "I do," you say "I can't," and then you run down the aisle. The guests gasp, scandalized, as you clutch your long, heavy dress and sprint as fast as you can—so fast that one of your heels breaks in the process.
You don't think. You just run.
That is, until you crash into Eren Jaeger—or rather, he almost crashes into you with his car.
He's everything you've always wanted to be: free. Reckless. Chaos in human form. A boy unafraid of death, driving straight toward it with a boyish smile on his face. A boy who lives as if every day were his last.

1. I do not own any Attack on Titan character, all credits to Hajime Isayama. For that reason, I can't guarantee not having any mischaracterisation in this fic. However, I'll do my best to keep it as canon as possible keeping in mind that this is a modern AU and they're not traumatised due to titans. Also Eren is gonna be a loser and a yearner because that's who he is (sue me).
2. English is not my first language, I'll try to correct any spelling or grammatical error before posting. Anyways, if you see any error kindly comment it and I'll gladly fix it (specially past tenses and irregular verbs which I often get confused with).
3. Y/n does not have any race, nationality, skin colour, hair texture, colour or length, no specific style (although she's stylish and loves makeup and getting ready, she also loves Vivienne Westwood, that's the only thing I'm specifying). I won't describe any outfit unless necessary, even if I do you're free to imagine otherwise. Y/n it's meant to be you so imagine her however you please.
4. This is a slow burn and I don't think I'll write any smut, if that's not what you like you're free to not keep reading.
5. This is my first time writing a fanfic, but I do read a lot. If someone wants to leave any respectful suggestion on how to write better or anything I'm open to it. I'll try my best to make my mind work and be creative. That's why I can't promise you weekly updates, I don't want to rush it and be unsatisfied with the chapters, I'm also a student so please be patient <3
6. I don't think this is gonna have much angst, I'll probably keep it as a cute fun fanfic easy to read. Anyways if there's any sensitive topic like for example mention of death, I will add trigger warnings before the chapter starts. There will often use of toxic substances (smoking and drinking.)
7. Please maintain reader etiquette, I will not tolerate any disrespect towards me or other readers. Same thing to hate to the fanfic, reminder that nobody is forcing you to read it!
