   Summary

   He remembers it like it was yesterday. (It’s funny how twenty-nine years can feel like an eternity, and yet, no time at all.)

   He hadn’t expected that night to be the last time he spoke to his mother.

   Now, he watches as this PTA woman (he forgets her name, and he doesn’t particularly care) re-enacts that scene that still lives vividly inside Barry every single day, despite all the years that have passed. It’s not exactly the same, of course, but the echoes of his memory are eerily aligned with the situation he is watching play out.
