Eclipse was backstage while Ruin was saying his closing lines. Today’s show could’ve gone better, it wasn’t horrible just exhausting. Eclipse was smoking hoping Gemini wouldn’t catch him. Ever since they started working here they changed the smoking policy to you can’t smoke in the studio which Eclipse tried avoiding, but he was too exhausted to care. He blew out some smoke when he felt something hit his right leg. He looked down to see a small child, she looked to be about six, she had light pink hair that looked like petals and a gator tail. She looked up at Eclipse and her face was half light green and half light yellow. Eclipse quickly dropped his cigarette and stomped it out. He then crouched to the kid’s level.
”Hey kid? Where did you come from?”
”Im sorry for running into you mister.” She said as she slowly picked herself up.
”I was helping my mom with her shop and heard music and ran into this place.” She started to grin. Eclipse sighed.
”Okay. What’s your name?”
“I’m Petunia!” Eclipse smiled a bit, she seemed so excited about telling him her name.
“Okay kid,” Eclipse stood up and extended his lower hand. “Why don’t I take you back to your mom?” Petunia smiled wide and grabbed Eclipse’s hand. The two started to walk from the direction she came from and found a metal door. Eclipse tried to open it but it wouldn’t open. He knocked on the door.
”Hey! I found your kid! She ran in here and this door won’t open!” Eclipse shouted. A few seconds later he heard shuffling behind the door.
”I’m so sorry Eclipse! I must’ve not heard the door close.” Terra opened the door. Eclipse stood dumbfounded for a few seconds before Petunia let go of his hand and ran into her mother’s arms.
“You… huh?” Terra chuckled a bit and gestured him to come into the shop. When Eclipse walked in he saw a shelf full of yarn, a few chairs, and a coffee table between them.
“Soooo, you have a kid?”
“Oh yea, Monty built her last year and you know how animatronic kids work.” Animatronic kids could be set at a certain age when being built instead of like humans having babies.
“Yes but I just didn’t expect this. Also another question why are you here?!”
“Oh well I umm, I started selling crocheted stuff online but I wanted a more in person experience and that’s when I saw the open spot in astral city and it being next to the midnight show was just a perk.” Terra started walking to the front with Petunia in her arms, Eclipse followed her. The front had a desk with a bell and had baskets full of different crocheted things. Terra moved to the desk and placed Petunia down on the ground.
“And Monty knows about the business and knows I probably shouldn’t live on earth if my business is all the way in astral city but also they need to stay on earth for the place down there. So I’m going to move here but on the weekends we go back down there and stay there and when the weekdays I come back and Petunia stays down there.”
“What is it with Monty’s having long distance relationships.” Eclipse muttered.
”What?”
”Nothing. So you’re going to be living in astral city?”
”Yup, maybe if my business skyrockets Monty can move up here but for now it’s long distance.” Petunia walked up to Eclipse and extended her closed hands to him. He crouched down to her level.
“What do you got there?” Petunia opened her hands to show him a small little bee figure.
“I want to give this to you.” Eclipse extended his hand and Petunia dropped the figure in his hand.
”Its cute but why are you giving me this?”
”Because my mom trusts you so you’re my friend now.” Petunia put her hands on her hips and stood proud, grinning. Eclipse just crouched there with a blank expression on his face. Then some oil came out from behind his mask.
”Hey honey why don’t you go decorate your room?” Petunia turned to her mom with a smile then ran away. Terra turned to Eclipse who was standing up.
”You good there?” Eclipse put the bee in his pocket, turned away from Terra and lifted his mask wiping the tears off his face.
”Yup I’m fine.”
“Hey I wanted to ask you?”
“What?”
”So I watched some episodes of the midnight show and are you and Ruin together?” Eclipse was thrown off by the question.
”What…”
”Yeah I mean you two act like a couple, so I just wanted to know.” Eclipse was a little hesitant with answering I mean that haven’t come out and said they’re together but they also have confessed to each other.. technically TWICE!
”I mean I think so?”
”Is that a question or an answer?”
”It’s just we haven’t come out and said it.”
”So you guys do like each other?” Terra looked at Eclipse with a big grin on her face.
”I mean yeah.” Eclipse muttered but it was loud enough for her to hear.
”So that’s why you were so aggressive to Rusty!” Terra gently punched the side of his arm.
”I mean also what he did was,” Eclipse looked back behind Terra making sure Petunia wasn’t there. “Fucked up.”
”I thought you didn’t care cursing in front of kids?” Terra noticed him making sure Petunia wasn’t there.
”I don’t care cursing in front of my kids there’s a difference.” Eclipse looked down at his hands, getting a little sad about mentioning his kids.
”OH THIS IS A PERFECT TIME TO MENTION THIS! Moon and Solar are trying to revive those three!”
“What!?”
”Charlie kept begging them over and over so they’re going to try!” Eclipse was shocked he didn’t even know how to revive those three, but maybe them having Charlie could help.
”but…” Terra started, Eclipse looked at her confused.
”They believe what Charlie said about you and they told me if I ran into you not to tell you cause they don’t want you to see them…” Eclipse felt tears start to well up.
”But I wasn’t going to do that to you and Puppet told me she’s going to do everything in her power to bring them to you. She’s even going to show them the show so they know how you are now.” Eclipse felt the tears roll down his face but he also felt a small smile.
”Well one day I know I’ll see them again. Hope they don’t find me too weird now.” Terra started to laugh a bit and Eclipse chuckled while wiping the tears off his face.
”Well I should probably make sure Petunia’s actually decorating her room, and you probably have stuff to do, so see you later?”
”Oh, yeah see you Terra.” Eclipse walked back into the studio while Terra walked up to Petunia’s room. Eclipse when he closed the door leaned against it and lit another cigarette, maybe one day he will see his kids again.
“ECLIPSE IS THAT A CIGARETTE?!”
