Louisa, I have more tea About John and Mark? Margaret said they’re dating now, but they’re keeping it on the DL. I actually think Mark is super annoying, but good for them. He and John are cute af I’m surprised they told Margaret. She’s not known for keeping secrets well… Oh, they didn’t tell her. She saw them on a date while she was out for dinner with her parents. So basically the entire school will know by Friday. I just hope everyone, like, acts chill about it. Me too Does Nathaniel know? What’s he gonna do? Preach at them? Didn’t he make out with some guy at a party over the summer anyway? HE DID WHAT? OMG You didn’t know??? No??? I heard from Sigma that he went to a party with Nikolai after losing a bet, and they made out in the closet during a game of seven minutes in heaven. I think he was all “I’ll go to the party and set a Christlike example so I can do missionary work” or something. And then… I was so shook when I found out Wait don’t you go to church with Nathaniel? Yes. I wouldn’t have guessed he’d do something like that, though. Especially with Nikolai. Me neither!! But anyway, that means he has no room to judge Mark and John. So he’ll probably just let them be. I hope so

Louisa, Sigma wants me to go to their band concert next week. Do you want to come with me? What day is it? Thursday I’ll ask my parents. It sounds like fun! Yay!

Lucy, Nathaniel told me about Mark and John at youth group last night… NO WAY What did he say? He asked me what I thought about them, and I said I don’t know either of them very well, but they seem like a nice couple. And then he asked if I thought it was possible to be both religious and gay. Oh? What’d you tell him? I do think it’s possible, considering I am. Speak your truth queen!! I’m proud of you ♡ ❤

Louisa, I’m so sorry about Dazai. I didn’t know he was going to be at the concert too. Sigma invited me because they said none of their other friends could make it, which usually just means Nikolai and Dazai. It’s fine, don’t worry about it. Okay but you obviously felt awkward when he started being all “OMG I ship you two so hard!” and it was just because he wanted to get under MY skin. I feel bad that you were collateral. I’ll punch him in the face for you if you want. Please don’t. I really didn’t mind that much. Are you sure? Yes Okay… I am. It was okay because you were there. You make it easier for me to interact with people I don’t know well. It all feels a little less overwhelming when I have somebody familiar with me. It’s comforting, and helps me step out of my comfort zone, which…I should probably do more. Well in that case… I’d be happy to go with you anywhere you’d like. I enjoy things more when you’re with me, too.

Lucy, Dazai came into the library to eat lunch with me yesterday. He said to tell you Nikolai dragged Nathaniel to another party, and they were kissing without the spin the bottle excuse this time. He also said this means you owe him $20, so I’m not sure I’d trust his word without a second source… You might want to ask Sigma. BRUH. I don’t know how to respond to that I thought Sigma and Nikolai were going to get together at the next party </3 I should know better than to bet against Dazai at this point. But Sigma literally told me they like Nikolai. Then again, they also said they feel enraged over the fact that they do like him sooo… I say this in the nicest way possible, but why are you friends with all of them? Because they’re funny lmao

Louisa, I am so tired this morning. Can you tell me a story to keep me awake? I don’t think I have any interesting stories… You can literally make something up. Say anything and I will love it. Pinky promise Well… Nikolai showed up at youth group last week. I’m guessing Nathaniel invited him, but I’m surprised he actually accepted. Sigma was there too—maybe just to keep Nikolai in line? Although they actually seemed to enjoy being there. Regardless, after the lesson was over, we were all outside, since it’s finally getting warm again, and Nikolai decided he was going to climb a tree. Nathaniel was yelling at him the whole time while Sigma ditched him and started talking to Margaret and I instead, like they were trying to act like they didn’t know either Nikolai or Nathaniel. And then, Nikolai somehow managed to catch a bird while he was up in the tree, and Sigma had to physically wrestle him to the ground to prevent him from bringing it inside the church and letting it loose in the sanctuary. I’M DYING OH MY GOD THAT’S THE FUNNIEST THING I’VE EVER HEARD Please invite me to your youth group next time Nikolai is going to show up I doubt I’ll know in advance, but if I do, I’ll let you know

Lucy, I didn’t sleep well last night. Will you tell me a story to help me stay awake? Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess. She was engaged to be married to a prince from a neighboring kingdom, but in all honestly, she wasn’t interested in princes at all. She had long since been in love with her closest handmaiden, a girl of about the same age as the princess herself. They had grown up together, and the maiden was the only true friend she’d known all her life. The maiden felt the same, but she had resolved herself to a life of pining from afar, believing there was no way for her and the princess to be together. And then, the night before the princess’ planned engagement, she begged for the maiden to run away with her. “I’ll never be happy if I stay here!” she said. “I don’t want a prince. The person who I truly love is you!” The maiden was shocked, for she never thought her love could be reciprocated. But she quickly agreed, wanting nothing more than to spend the rest of her life with the princess, even if it meant giving up the luxuries of a palace in exchange for a life on the run. It may not have been a typical fairytale ending, but to both the princess and the maid, it was the perfect happily ever after. That was lovely! I think I prefer this to a tale where the princess marries the prince in the end Thank you You’re welcome, princess <3
