    Vibrant red eyes were the only things bleeding into Zack's thoughts every morning, every night. He remembers his comforting warmth, his heady scent of burnt sugar invading his senses, the way his scarred hands caress his when he arrived after a fresh beating.

    Bakugou Katsuki deserves the world. But Zack is a monster. He doesn't deserve him, and he can't offer him what he wants. So, he stays away. To keep Katsuki safe, he tells himself. To keep him away from the hands—his hands—that just take and take with no remorse. As the years go by, he is haunted by the memory of a bright smile and fluffy, blond hair. He kills to satiate his desire; it's the only thing that gets his mind off of Katsuki.
