   Summary

   Ilya doesn’t know what he expected when Katya called him, but this certainly isn’t it.

   A daughter.

   It’s not just Mila’s existence, although that in and of itself is a surprise to say the least, but it is everything about the two of them.

   Mila is silent, eyes wide and searching. She hasn’t uttered a single word.

   Katya responds when spoken to, quietly, politely. Scared.
