One night that Nicole and Jecka was out and away from their house because of a movie that was premiering around that time where they got back by the metro for some stops, began strolling through the city of Washington D.C, they started walking past many different buildings like places that have been abandoned in some cases that had them not in the right place.
“So how was the movie that we saw?” Jecka says to the brunette walking next to her while looking around the starry night that is the night of D.C when they took the metro down and started to ride it back home. “It was good, not going to lie about that.”
“Are you just saying that because it wasn’t the type of movie that isn't used to your liking?”
“Pfft, No! It was…n’t the type I like...”
“See? Then what’s your actual opinion about it?”
“How about we save that for later while we’re still here to not disrupt this entire train?” Nicole says.
“Why not? It’s not that many people around here.” Jecka responds as they look around to very little to a few people on the metro. That is more scenery than morning time when it’s usually packed.
“Still, they don’t have to listen to our convo as we’re just talking about a random ass movie that we just watched like hours ago that wasted our time together.”
“It wasn’t a waste of time together!” Jecka said back.
“Oh, really? When was the last time that we had time together where it’s mostly us alone?”
“We’re not gonna say that in front of these fucking people, Nicole!!” Jecka gritted her teeth while seeing some of them staring towards their argument.
-DING-
“Well, you’re lucky since we made it to our stop and are almost close to our house.”
“You’re such an asshole, y’know?”
“Yeah, yeah… Come on. Let’s go.”
“Hey! Watch the hand!” Jecka says to Nicole about her hitting her rear.
-Nicole laughs- “What? You were the first to come out.” Nicole smirked in laughter.
“Whatever, just come on before I leave you!”
“Wanna bet that?”
“Just come on!”
“Now we're out of the metro, which means more starry nights...” Nicole says while feeling hungry from not eating anything from the movies as it was ungodly expensive.
“Are you hungry, babe?” Jecka asks Nicole about her.
“No, I'm not...” -grumbles- “That must’ve been the wind-”
“Just admit that you want some food, Nicole. It’s just us.”
After moving up from the escalator towards the sidewalks, they were some meters away from their house, which is also where Nicole was trying to not admit that she is need of hunger, she saw that there was a place that was open that caught her eyes of how the brunette and blonde are lucky to be as if they were hungry or hangry, whichever is best for the two for them, especially Nicole where a sudden diner that is striking out more noise than a circus like out any other place in the buildings around that is like this for a reason that is special for someone that is celebrating their new wish for another year.
“There’s gotta be some store or something that will be open that has food for you, Nicole. And to me as well.”
“Hope so.. Wait. There’s that diner that I always see whenever I go to work!”
“How do you know that?” Jecka questions Nicole.
“I was sorta there on my break and went there many times and have known what time they open and close, and thankfully i’m beginning to be a regular there, which is weird, but interesting in some way.” Nicole explains.
“You could’ve said that you’ve been there without me.”
Yeah, I did.. Are you mad at me for that?”
“No, It’s cute that you’re out without me as much, cause I sometimes need some hours without you nagging or just around me as much.”
“Well, If you want me out-”
“I’m just kidding. Now let’s go to the diner.”
“Ok. Cause it seems like that it’s having a lot of noise that is clamoring there.”
“Maybe it’s something that is happening there?”
“Well, If we stay outside much longer, we won’t know.”
After agreeing on going to the diner for some food and to see what is the noise that is growing within the inside, is a whole birthday party that some person is having their 18th celebration being known from people he know, from family and friends, to people who is inside the diner celebrating their new day of themselves, which had Nicole and Jecka confused on why a birthday party at a diner of all places.
“Hello? What’s the commotion here-” Nicole said to everyone who was celebrating the commotion that was being said around.
“I think it’s someone’s birthday party today.” Jecka sees and says to the atmosphere around them.
“What kind of normal person would have a birthday at a diner?!”
“Do I fucking know why? I’m just figuring out my own damn self!”
“Well, since we’re already here, we can ask these people why.”
“Oh? Now being a person who actually asks what is happening right now?”
“Oh, shut up and ask them, cause it’s starting to get a headache that I don’t like when it’s about someone else that i don’t know as ever.”
“You might not know them, but I sorta did before you came to the school.”
“If you know them, what do you know about them?”
“Well.. not much from experience cause I mostly see that particular person once every week on Tuesdays whenever it’s a thing that he has or something.”
“Huh. I'm going to go ask.”

“Hey, kid!”
“H-huh? Oh, hi!”
“What’s your name, kid?” Nicole asks.
“Um, Micah. Nice to meet you.” Micah says to Nicole, introducing himself to the brunette where Jecka was next to her.
“Uh, I don’t shake hands with strangers, thank you very much.” Nicole responds back to him.
“Oh, Sorry.. What’s your name?”
“Nicole.”
“That’s a cool name. Nice to meet you Nicole.”
“Nice to meet you too as well!!” Jecka took his hand and shaked it without Nicole shaking it.
After introducing themselves to Micah, who is the person that is celebrating his birthday where it’s about him celebrating 18 years in his life as the girls are while being nice of him, they, mostly Nicole was still wondering why did he had his birthday in a diner instead of anywhere else with his family and friends there, which is where the main truth from Micah himself comes out to as for Nicole and Jecka was surprised and shocked for how it turned out for him and everyone else.
“Can I ask you something?”
“Uh, sure-”
“Why the hell do you think you decided to celebrate your birthday at- How old?”
“18 Years-”
“At 18 years old at a diner with your family and friends at most parts?!” Nicole asked a question that reached outside of the diner and to everyone else that offended some of his family that she’s mad at him for some reason.
“Nicole!” Jecka shouts at Nicole about her behavior.
“Hey! Don’t be rude to my son!” Micah’s mom says to Nicole, but too much as she will spaz on her in front of everyone around.
“Look! I’m just saying, why not anywhere like the movies like we did for Jecka’s birthday, or anywhere else?”
“W-w-why that question?”
“I’m just confused on why.”
“Nicole, stop!”
“No, Babe! I want to hear from him. Tell me Micah, if that’s your real name, why?”
“We can go somewhere else if you want to-”
“No, mom. It’s ok. So you want to know huh?” Micah says to Nicole, trying to not be rude to her knowing how she was in high school as it was like another school night has passed.
“Ok. Now.. If you want to know so bad, I’ll explain it.
“Jecka, what have you done?”
“I’m just asking a question!”
“I haven’t told you everything about him!”
“What else does this kid have?! He’s like all the other boys that just be all over girls and about them!” Nicole says to Jecka about not knowing about the true feelings that he has that Jecka knows, but was trying to save her girlfriend from having her hear why.
“He has autism!” Jecka shouts.
“Huh..?”
“I’m gonna let him explain if you don’t want to hear from me..”
“What does that mean? He’s like those-”
“Listen! If you want to know.. She’s right. I’m autistic. I’ve been diagnosed with Autism and ADHD, but that’s not the case of this right now. The main reason why I wanted to have my birthday celebrated at this specific diner for everyone and my family, is for me not mostly being out as much cause of many different things that are happening in our lives, more like my life now as I’m almost a grown adult, where it has me having to think of my own things for me and me only, which is where the diner comes into play.”
“Why-”
“Shhh! Shut up! Continue.” Jecka shushes to Nicole.
“Thank you.
“We’re going to have a talk after this..” Nicole whispers.
“Anyways, the diner is one of the places that I mostly be at in my past years of growing as the for First, the food here is good as ever from everywhere else, Second, everyone around here that I know everyday I come in is nice to me and to my family and friends as it’s the spot every Wednesday after school to grab a snack or anything food related with them, and the main Third reason is for how I want to spend my last few hours before I have to deal with my life without my mom’s help, while still by my side with everything, but has to manage things without her is a change that I don’t want to do on the outside, but on the inside, it’s a thing that I wanted to do for a long time without leaving anyone that I’ve know of for years to be a burden and away from me. That’s why I wanted to celebrate my birthday here.”
“Oh.. That…”
While Jecka sees Nicole stutters as she tried to say out a word after knowing how she feels on the inside after hearing all of that, she actually started to shed a little ball of water out of her eye that had her starting to remember the time of her birthday when she was in his shoes, and was not the best of it after it where it had her not celebrate any of her birthdays because of how it will reminded her of that exact time.
“N-Nicole..? Are you crying..?”
“H-huh? N-no..”
“You can let those tears fall. They’re supposed to for a reason if you want to relieve something.”
And when he said that sentence, the brunette had stopped everything she was doing and hugged Jecka while she was crying her lungs out with her heart in sync while seeing Micah shedding some tears along with everyone else that is starting to feel the same thing for him and Nicole for her past.
“Are you ok, Nicole…?” Micah’s mom asks the sobbing Nicole.
“Yeah.. I just need some minutes.. Excuse me..” Nicole says while sobbing.
“I think she feels like what Micah feels like.” One of his friends says to Jecka. “Yeah.. It’s something that happened years ago to like now where she doesn’t celebrate her birthdays as it was not the best of it after it where it had her not celebrate any of her birthdays all because of how it will remind her, but she does now with me after reliving with me.”
“Oh.. At least she gets what I'm feeling about.”
“Yeah.. speaking of that, I’m gonna calm her down and we’ll stay here and celebrate with you. Ok?”
“Sure thing. Thanks for listening to me.” Micah says to Jecka.
“Yeah, yeah. Nicole!!” Jecka shouts while running out the door.
After getting Nicole back inside and apologizing to Micah for yelling at him and to everyone, they were both ok with each other without being treated differently, and joins him with his final moments with Nicole and Jecka with his family until midnight strikes.
