Summary
Mina knew the script all too well. She knew that Chaeyoung would deny everything, even when Mina gently prodded at her memories. Even if Mina silently urged Chaeyoung to read between unspoken words and lost texts.
Mina wished her eyes could translate the wordless plea of ‘I wish you could admit you liked me without needing to be drunk’ to Chaeyoung, but she’s never sure if Chaeyoung makes sense of it at all. She’d push the tight knot of undisclosed feelings down her throat, and make sure to leave Chaeyoung a glass of water and an aspirin at her bedside for when sunlight stole Chaeyoung’s boldness away.
She’d leave a kiss at Chaeyoung’s temple and say bye to Dahyun on her way out of the dorm and use the walk to her apartment as a way to recount every minuscule detail of the night.
Or, in other terms, use it as a way to discredit the belief that Chaeyoung could reciprocate her feelings in any form.
