Summary
Fear was loud.
A crashing tsunami of adrenaline, with all the urgent shrieking and chaos of a natural disaster. A dizzying whirling in the mind that drove out all rational thought. It seized and tore with horrible teeth that threatened to never let go. It sent bolts into every muscle, every nerve alive and hyper aware of itself. Every sound, every silence was a bombardment of information the mind had no time to decipher. Paralyzing, and maddening as the constant screams from the most primal part of the mind never ceased.
In a body born to run, to be chased, to be prey. Well, that made it all the worse for Jax.
Control meant everything.
