Today was one of those days where Katie was extremely bored. Tomate was no where to be found and everyone was off doing their own things. She had gone back to Schlatt & Co to try and annoy him a little bit, that was until she remembered he was on a business trip and wouldn’t be home for awhile. So she settled for just going to kfc and seeing if anything interesting rolled around today.
And she found herself to be correct. As she made her way towards the building there was Ewroon standing in front of the Zapka.
“BESTIE!!” Katie shouted and ran towards him with open arms, dragging out the ‘e’ in bestie to show her excitement.
Ewroon turned to face her and she had a wide smile plastered on her face
“Bestie! What a pleasure it is to see you!” He spoke as he opened his arms.
Katie crashed right into engulfing him in a tight hug causing them both to crash on to the ground.
Katie pulled away slightly giving him a kiss on the cheek before getting herself off the ground. She lent out a hand and helped lift him up holding onto his hand for a bit longer than ‘besties’ should.
Ewroon and Katie’s relationship was complicated to say the least. One day they were enemy’s and at each others throats then the next they were desperate begging to be forgiven. It was a constant loop they were stuck in. Recently they had been getting into more altercations whenever Tomate was around
It wasn’t that Ewroon hated Tomate, he just didn’t think he was worthy of his bestest friend Katie. And he especially did not like how much of Katie’s time Tomate had stolen from him. In his eyes Tomate was getting in the way of whatever Katie and him had going on.
He really cared and loved his bestie Katie and she deserved to be with someone who can actually communicate with her. And to him that person was himself.
No matter how much the two fought he knew they were the perfect pair. And he wanted Katie to feel that too.
“Bestie might I say you are just looking the cutest today!!” Ewroon said as he booped Katie’s nose. In response Katie giggled and Ewroon couldn’t help but smile as he looked at her. He thought she was just the most precious thing.
And he wasn’t lying when he said she looked cute. Today she had her down instead of having it in her usual bun and her long ginger hair was practically glowing in the sun. Her glasses hadn’t been on today either emphasizing the tiny freckles that had been scattered throughout her nose leading a trail down to the apples of her cheeks.
“Well aren’t you the sweetest!” Katie spoke and booped Ewroons nose back.
Unluckily for Katie, ewroon had been craving her attention seeing as they hadn’t spoken for a few days.
“How have you been bestie? I’ve been missing you.”
She said her voice gentle this time and genuine. The voice anyone got to rarely hear, in all honesty Ewroon thinks this was the voice Katie only used around him. Katie was an entertainer, she wanted to show others her loud and dramatic side. And don’t get her wrong she acted that way towards everyone to, but everyone once and awhile she let the real her show. And Ewroon loved it. Craved it even.
He loved knowing that he was the only that brought out that side in his dear bestie Katie.
“To be honest with you bestie I’ve been feeling quite down recently.” Ewroon said lowering his tone as well trying not to let a smirk seep through.
“Tell me all about it Ewvie, you know I’m always here for you.” Katie spoke with concern and desperation laced in her tone.
And Ewroon knew he was getting her exactly where he wanted just like he always had.
“I have just been thinking that maybe I’m not enough.” He replied, fully lying to her by the way. Ewroon knew he was enough, maybe even better than enough he would say.
Katie looked at him eyes wide and grabbed each of his hands clasping them with hers.
“Ewvie don’t ever speak about yourself like that. You’re worth the whole you know that!” She said with a saddened look at her face. She couldn’t believe her bestie would ever think of himself in this way.
“It’s just- ah nevermind” Ewroon said as he unclasped their hands and turned away from Katie.
He kept his head low to make it look as though he was sad but really now he was able to let out a smile he had been trying to cover.
“No bestie tell me, please.” Katie spoke yet again with more desperation in her voice. Now she had been in the state where she would do whatever Ewroon asked just to make him feel better.
Ewroon hesitated for a moment before speaking again. “You’ve been spending all your time with that ‘boyfriend’ of yours, I feel like you don’t care for me as much anymore. Like any day you’re just gonna leave me.” This however wasn’t a complete lie, but he knew Katie would never leave him, especially since it was this easy to get her wrapped around his finger.
“Ewroon that’s insane I’m never leaving you. I love you.” She said turning ewroon around and wrapping her arms around him giving him the opportunity to wrap his arms around her waist.
She buried her nose into his neck leaving a light kiss on his collarbone.
Ewroon let his pointer finger slip just barley underneath Katie’s blazer, drawing small circles on her backside.
“I love you too, Kate.”
She pulled back just enough for the two to be facing each other, Ewroon’s hands staying in place.
“Bros before hoes, come on bestie you know this rule.” Katie’s said giving him a comforting smile trying to lighten the mood.
Graf and Nexe were walking far but close enough to hear the whole interaction and were both severely confused on how Katie was dating Tomate and not Ewroon.
