Chapter Text
It's about time the Sun rose, claiming its throne as the star of the day. The colors around it, belonging to the sky, are melting into each other creating a pleasant gradient consisting of light blue, orange and a pale pinkish-purple.
Opposite of the foggy window lies a dark oak bed. Soft, muffled snores can be heard from under the light red blanket, but they are suddenly interrupted by an obnoxious repeating beep of a device.
Loonac lets out an annoyed huff as he pulls the blanket off his face and reaches out for the communicator.
Before he could turn on Do Not Disturb mode, his eyes caught a glimpse of Nufuli's messages. He's been spamming the same coords for a good 5 minutes by now. There's only one explanation for this in Loonac's head.
Nufuli is getting jumped and needs help desperately.
Wait... SHIT NUFULI'S GETTING JUMPED?!
Loonac practically jumped out of bed and dashed into his closet, grabbing whichever clothes were nearest to him, changing from his pajamas at the speed of light basically. He loosely tied his scarf around his neck, but he had other worrying matters on hand. After putting on his hat and gloves, he sprinted to the armory and grabbed shulkers of every possible material Nufuli may need to survive.
That is if he can make it to Nufuli in time to even keep him alive.
Loonac's heart was racing at an alarming rate. He was rushing through forests, villages and biomes with the slightest hint of hope that he wouldn't be too late.
As he reached the designated coordinates, he noticed he was now situated in a secluded park. It wasn't entirely missing its crowds, but way calmer than more well known parks on the server. As Loonac supported himself by leaning onto a light pole trying to catch his breath, he heard a voice shouting. He looked up to see no one else but Nufuli, waving and making his way towards Loonac.
"LOOONAACC BROOO!!!" A joyous tone called out for him. "Hmm, You look out of breath..." Nufuli added.
"anywayssssszzz... Did you bring the tennis rackets and ball? Couldn't wait to hang out, bro!"
Loonac stared at him for a good minute dumb founded, gasping for fresh air to fill his lungs.
"Sorry, tennis rackets? Hang out? BRO. I thought you were getting jumped!? Of course I'm out of breath! I've been running for thousands of blocks!"
"Ohhhhh, uhhh, yeah... sorry... should've specified..."
"Should've specified my ass! You spammed me with coords! I was worried, man..."
"Sorry... but, hey... we're here now so why not hang out and chat?"
"I suppose I didn’t travel all those blocks for no reason, sure. But, first let me go fix my look really quick at the restroom, though. I look like a mess and I don't want people to look at me like I'm a mentally ill patient. Soooo, I'll be right back!"
"Alrighttt! Don't take too long!"
Loonac ran off in less of a hurry than before now, towards the bathroom.
Nufuli made his way to the nearest bench. He sat down, leaned back and supported his head using his hands as he closed his eyes. He felt at peace.
Little did he know this peace wouldn't last for long.
Through the birds' chirping and the ruffling of leaves could be heard a voice. An obnoxious one, as Nufuli would put it in his mind.
He thought it was probably just a friend group gossiping, or something like that. But, as the voice got louder and closer, the more familiar it sounded. He needn't open his eyes to recognize the holder of that voice, as the owner of it himself spoke up not further than 15 blocks from him.
"Oooohhh, if it isn't the fish boy!" The same obnoxious voice said in a mocking tone. There wasn't any doubt it was directed to Nufuli.
Ah, of course. Nufuli should've known who it was back when it sounded just like a whisper in the wind. It really isn't a surprise the holder of the voice is...
"Nezoshoki. Can't a guy have a moment of peace?" Nufuli found himself to be rather irritated by Nezo's current uninvited presence. You know, he thought to himself that jumping Nezo right here, right now wouldn't be too bad. I mean he'd get him to his last life, and next time he could ban him. He might not have a fighting inventory right now, but it's not like Nezo has one too, right? He could kill him right now. No?
It's not like anyone else is around...
As Nufuli opened his eyes, ready to strike, he saw Mugm right by Nezo's side. The voidling's expression is usually hard to make out, as all one can really see is just his eyes, sometimes eyebrows too if they're not covered by his bangs. But, if Nufuli had to guess, Mugm was definitely observing cautiously, almost like he knew exactly what he was plotting.
Yeah Nufuli was definitely not going to attack Nezo now. That's for sure. He can leave his ego and fight for another day... The risk of dying seemed rather unreasonable at the moment.
"Great, the edge lord is here too..." Nufuli must've been thinking outloud, because he knew if he angered Mugm, he'd not only be dealing with a fight he's unprepared for, but he'd also deal with an outnumbered one too, that is.
The voidling let out a mocking chuckle.
"Hah, you know, Nufuli. You need to keep that ego of yours in check. It'll be the death of you one day. We all know damn well you have no inventory near likely enough for a victorious battle."
"We know-? Oh, right! Yeah, yeah! We both know you don't have what it takes to fight both of us at the moment Nufuli! You're not the main character! Quit acting like it!" Nezo tried to entertain Mugm's point, but it probably just made them both seem like total airheads. If Nufuli didn't know better he'd think these two are just 2 ordinary idiots that end up dying at the hands of him and his Mace in less than 10 seconds during a fight.
Mugm let out a sigh at Nezo's comment.
"Nezo, please, stay out of this..." His tone almost had a hint of disappointment in it.
"Hmph- well, whatever." Nezo said as he crossed his arms and turned away from Mugm. Kind of childish, Nufuli thought.
"Ignore him. He acts like this on purpose, out of his own free will. He's not that much of a dumbass as he seems, I think. Or something like that, I guess."
Nezo let out a dramatic gasp at Mugm's words. But, he did not continue entertaining his statement.
"Well, Nufuli. I guess I'll cut straight to the point. I'd like to fight you tomorrow. I'll send the coords. Sounds good?"
Nufuli took a moment to think. Was this fight really worth it? But, I mean, Mugm is the only person that is better than him at PvP that he knows, so maybe he can view this as a training session instead.
"I don't see why you wouldn't want to fight me here right now. But, yeah, I guess that's fine."
Mugm returned an unsettling smile that definitely creeped Nufuli out, as he continued:
"It's because just killing you off is no fun. I want you to think you have everything, then rip it all away from you."
That definitely made Nufuli change his expression to something more serious than before.
"Well, then. I guess I'll send the coords tomorrow. You better come, Nufuli. Or next time I wont give you the chance to fight prepared."
With no more words said, Mugm and Nezo start to walk off, back down the path they came from.
Nufuli let out a big sigh when he lost view of the duo and looked down at the ground. All hints of joy he had earlier seemed to be gone now.
Loonac’s POV:
Loonac was adjusting his hat while looking into the bathroom mirror. His hair was messy because he didn't happen to carry a hairbrush on him, but that's alright as he has curly hair overall so it's not that noticeable. He tightened his scarf around his neck and got ready to meet back up with Nufuli.
Walking towards Nufuli, he noticed his friend to seem under a dark cloud.
As he sat down beside the fellow, he asked:
"Nuf, what's wrong? Did something happen?"
"Loonac, bro... the wannabe mysterious question mark guy pulled up with his flower bouquet buddy... I HATE THEM! THEY MAKE ME FEEL SICK!!!"
"Woah, no need to shout, gosh... I'm, uh, sorry to hear that?" Besides being sleep deprived, the last thing Loonac wanted was to hear Nufuli rant about how much Mugm sucks and why he's better than him. Again.
"Oh, right... I haven't told you about his teammate. The red flower bouquet guy is called Nezoshoki. And oh my Command Block... HE'S ANNOYING AS SHIT. WORSE THAN MUGM BY A LANDSLIDE, I SWEAR!"
"Really now... hmm, what does he even look like?" Loonac questioned
"Ok, so like, he has gray skin, a dark gray flannel with a white T-shirt underneath, near black baggy pants, short black hair and like, just red flowers and vines growing on him. I should also mention he's also like a weeping angel or whatever. What a weirdo, ugh..."
"Don't think I've seen or heard of him before... But, I guess that's justified since you say he's a weeping angel. Anyways, want to get some ice cream? I'm sure that'll get your mind off of things for a while." Loonac tried to change the topic to avoid Nufuli's usual complaints about their enemies.
"No, bro. I literally have a fight I'm supposed to prepare for tomorrow. Let's go home." Nufuli said as he stood up.
"Fight- what? What fight? Bro, what did you get yourself into?"
"Mugm proposed we have a fight tomorrow, and I accepted. So we have to grind gear."
"Who's 'we', bro? You're on your own. I'm going straight back to sleep the second we get back home."
"Bro! You're my teammate! You're supposed to help me!"
"Yeah, I'm your 'teammate'. NOT UNPAID WORKER! I'M NOT HELPING YOU, DUDE. YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN ON THE GEAR GRINDING."
"WHATEVER, at least pull up with shulkers at the fight tomorrow and place them down whenever I say I need something, okay? Okay???"
"Sure, whatever. I can do that. Let's just go back to the base now."
The walk back was long. Mostly because Loonac wasn't sprinting like before.
It was also boring since Nufuli took off with an elytra, using the excuse of getting home earlier will make him waste less time preparing. That was obviously not true. He'd spend as much time anyway, but at least he would probably go to sleep earlier. Loonac couldn't really complain, though. The quietness being interrupted by the rustling wind or the birds' harmonies was rather pleasant. Especially when he didn't hear "Mugm this, Mugm that".
As he kept walking, his mind wandered off to who Nufuli told him about. Who was this 'Nezoshoki' guy? Should he watch out for him? Is he as strong as Mugm? Nufuli didn’t really give much context, but not that Loonac would've enjoyed listening to his rambling either way.
As Loonac finally arrived, he went down using the Redstone elevator only to see a bunch of armor pieces, potion bottles, some of them empty, and a bunch of brewing materials scattered on the ground.
"Nufuli. What the actual fuck. What happened here... did you find a stray cat inside our base or something."
"Loonac, you finally arrived! So... say... will you help me clean up and sort stuff?"
"Hell, no! I told you you're on your own. I'm going to my room. Don't disturb me, please, and thanks."
Nufuli exhaled, pure annoyance swarming it, but didn’t continue to pester Loonac any further.
Loonac changed back to his favorite Christmas themed pajamas and laid down back on his bed, covering himself with the same light red blanket.
"Oh, Almighty Command Block. What in the actual hell did I do to deserve ending up with this dumbass as my teammate? Well, I guess he's not that bad most times. So, I won't complain any further for the day, I think."
Loonac started to doze off, but kept getting startled awake by glass shattering, or by loud clanks of metal making contact with the floor.
"What the hell is he doing?" Loonac thought to himself.
Not long after, he got accustomed to the sudden loud noises and managed to fall into slumber. He had a long day tomorrow he guessed so the current peace he has was very welcoming. Just hopefully Nufuli won't end up doing something stupid while he's asleep.
