Work Text:
Birds chriped outside as Spring morning started to shine. Soft ambience filled the space as warm air flowed from outside trough the window.
First one to wake up was Derek, it took him a second or two to actually get his mind working so he could check his surroundings.
It was his room—the window which was opened and had curtains tied aside whit old golden brown planks, he obviously fell asleep on his bed whit warmth surrounding him.
As he went to stand up he realised the so called 'warmth' that surrounded him wasn't just some morning air rather somebody.
On his chest laid Avery who was still deep in his sleep, humming soft sounds every now and then while getting more comfortable.
He looked so peaceful and safe it was just such a nice way to start a morning, he didn't notice his head wings becoming more fluffed out though he did notice becoming extremely warmer as Avery awakened only to reach closer to comfort.
He snuggled in closer burying his head with few quiet tired noises.
He wasn't sure of what to do so he just decided to put one if his hand on Avery's back holding him closer which is when Avery finally looked up at him.
The way he tried to keep his eyes opened and mind working just seemd so cute he became even more flustered.
First instinct of what to do was cover up his face with his head wings while cooling down though few seconds later somebody grabbed one of the wings carefully and weakly moved it aside.
"Don't.. don hide yer beauty Der..", he moved his other hand and removed some hair that covered parts of his face.
That left him speechless, such a small sentence yet so gentle and beautiful.
He moved off his other wing to expose his full face to which Avery hummed happily and went back to sleeping.
Maybe they could wait a few more minutes before getting up.
