Editor Wanted!!
Hi!
I’m a new youtuber starting out that was directed to this subreddit (from r/newyoutubers) as a quick way to find an editor! Here’s a quick overview of me and my current content.
Username: Will_The_Wise (on youtube)
Content style: vlogs about my life in NYC
Some facts about me: 20, in college for fine art, big into DnD (I’m a cleric if any paladins are reading this!), originally from Indiana.
Typical finished video length: 25-30 minutes
Typical length of raw footage: roughly 2 hours
Experience required: none!! As long as you fit in with my style I’m fine with anyone.

Hey, saw your post on r/CreatorServices I’m currently taking a break from college but prior I was enrolled for video production and just completed some short courses for video editing for digital media and was wondering if there’s a process you were thinking about to hire your editors? Do you have any raw footage that I should do a test edit on? Hi!! Yeah I could definitely send some footage over. Watched through some segments like the abandoned hospital ward in Hawkins and I think your work could absolutely work! Do you have an email I can send the footage to?

Since this is a test run I only included around an hour and wanted to see what you would do with free creative control! If you want any pointers then you can look back at any old videos of mine but I tend to stick with a consistent style with smooth transitions and small editor opinions and reactions!

Hello, I took your pointers and here’s the sent back footage. Since there was only an hour of footage the complete copy turned out to be 18 minutes instead of your regular 25-30.

Whilst I may not know what ‘editor opinions’ might be I tried to stick to your prior formula for this piece.
If this is satisfactory we could begin to discuss editing schedules and payment options.

Hi!
This is perfect!! It blends almost seamlessly with my previous videos. Scheduling wise I try to upload once a week since the vlogs, whilst focusing on one day specifically, have small clips from my whole week. I tend to film Sunday- Friday then upload on Monday or Tuesday if that would work for you? Due to how strange editing hours are if you tell me how long you tend to spend per video I can try to figure out how much to pay you? I am a college student so I may not be able to pay as well as that news station you work for but I can pay $10.00/hour! Sorry if it’s not much right now but expect increases if the channel grows!!

Hello, $10.00/hour sounds good to me it took roughly 2 hours to edit down the hour of footage so if you send 2-3 hours of footage it would take roughly 5-6 hours. If you send the footage sometime on Saturday I should be able to send back the finished copy by mid-to-late Monday.
