   Summary

   Summer Rose gives up on saving humanity, gives up on saving herself, but still has hope that she can save her daughter. Shortly after Ruby is born, Summer makes a choice that changes the course of both their lives for the worse. Ruby grows up without a mother, ignorant of what Summer sacrificed to keep her safe and of the choices that were taken from her.
