To the Winx, it's not exactly a secret that Bloom has a younger sister. She's mentioned her many times and has told them many stories of her, whether it was something funny or some shenanigans. They've talked to her through a call. She's practically an honorary Winx, especially considering that she's a fairy herself. Ace is practically their little sister, too. A shame they've yet to go and visit her, but she herself has been busy with her own studies, too. Apparently, Bloom becoming a fairy, and recently discovering her own powers, has inspired her to become better. She's practically a breath of fresh air for them.
So, hearing Bloom say "Oh, Ace is calling me!" all excited made the Wings themselves excited. It had been a long time since they last heard from her. At least, when Bloom didn't monopolize the call, that was.
"She is?!" Stella was the first one to react, practically jumping to stand right next to the ginger, almost vibrating in excitement.
"We haven't heard from Ace in quite a while!" Flora beamed, clapping her hands together.
"It feels like forever since we did." Musa nodded as she and Tecna approached.
"Put the call on speaker!" Aisha urged. The ginger chuckled, but did as she was told. She supposed she could, accepting the call and putting it on speaker. What's the worst that could happen, after all?
"Hey Ace, you're on speaker, what's up?"
"Wha- Whatever. Uh- Bloom, I have a problem. Like- Like a huge problem." was what came from the other line, which made the blue-eyed girl pause. What?
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"So like, remember when I told you about the colleges of Twisted Wonderland? Like, how I sent so many applications to many colleges and all that?" Bloom could already imagine her doing a hand motion as she spoke.
"Yeah, I do remember that. You had a bunch of them crossed off." she nodded.
"Yep, 'cause they didn’t accept girls in there, unfortunately." Bloom could practically hear her pout "I was going to go and apply to Morning Dove in the end, but uh... A letter from Night Raven came in today."
"WHAT?!" Bloom shrieked, scaring her friends "THE Night Raven College?! One of the top schools?! Are you serious?!" she asked, excited.
"Night Raven College?" Stella repeated.
"It's a very well known and respected college in Twisted Wonderland." Tecna explained "It takes a period of four years, the last one being internships that they partake in. A lot of mages graduate from it and become well known."
"Yeah, what Tecna said. Which, like... I know I should be happy about it, and I am! I really am! But, uh..." she trailed off, leaving an awkward pause at first "Night Raven College is a boys-only college." Bloom blinked. What? Then why did a letter come to her sister, then?
"If it's a boys-only institution, why would a letter come to you?" Tecna asked "You are a girl, after all." Bloom's brows furrowed.
"...Ace, did you renew your ID?" she asked. There was silence from the other line, which made Bloom sweatdrop.
"Ace..."
"I got sidetracked, okay?!" Ace exclaimed "Listen- Discovering you've got more magic than just the usual from Twisted Wonderland, discovering you're a fairy, and trying to get a better grasp at my powers was the only thing that's been on my mind right now!" she rambled, and Bloom could imagine the flustered look on her face.
"You're supposed to have these updated!" Bloom told her.
"I KNOWWWWWWWUH!" Ace dragged out the word, and the blue-eyed girl heard a thump. It wasn’t a loud one, more of a soft one. She probably just flopped onto the bed.
"And it sucks, too! Because I do wanna go to Night Raven College! It’s a really good opportunity! But I'm a girl, I feel like one, and all that’s gonna happen is that I'm just gonna get misgendered a lot! And it just fucking sucks!" she ranted, sounding very done. Bloom's fsce softened. She was right, Ace had very good points.
"Well... What does your heart say you should do?" Flora asked. It was silent for a moment.
"...To go to Night Raven College."
"It is a prestigious institute. You could learn a lot." Tecna nodded.
"Besides, you've got enough silver tongue to stand up to anyone who messes with you." Musa added with a smile "Remember how you trashtalked several guys at the beach?"
"How do you know about that?!"
"I recorded it and showed them the video." Bloom admitted. Stella had overheard her laughing so she pressed about it. And then that lead to that.
"Oh."
"And you're also strong. Both magic-wise and physically." Aisha added "So you don’t have to worry about that."
"Maybe don't fistfight people..." Flora sweatdropped.
"Knock 'em dead if they try anything, Acey!" Stella cheered.
"I'd like to not get in trouble at all!" Ace cackled. A genuine one, rather than some of the fake ones Bloom was used to. Which was good. She liked when her sister was honest to herself.
"I know you're strong, okay? So, if you wanna go to Night Raven College just like our older brother, then go ahead." Bloom told her with a soft smile "Whatever you do, I'm proud of you, sis."
"...Thanks, sis. You're amazing, y'know?"
"You always tell me that." Bloom chuckled.
"Hey, what about us, Acey??" Stella pouted.
"I love you guys too! You're honorary big sisters to me!" Ace tried to defend herself immediately "But- Well, Bloom's always the first, y'know?!"
"Betrayal!"
"It isn't!"
