Upon closer inspection, Nives noticed a slightly ajar door to one of the small courtyards. Warily, she slowly made her way towards it, pulling the door open and going outside. In hindsight, standing in below freezing temperatures wearing just her nightclothes and robe probably wasn't Nives’ smartest idea, but curiosity and suspicion clouded her judgement,
The moon was almost directly above the courtyard, illuminating it. Right underneath the moonlight, almost basking in it, sat a dark haired figure on the edge of the fountain.
OR: Gunnar and Nives meet under the full moon, Gunnar's wolf form works a bit differently :)

House Blossom Alliance Meetings were always such a bore, especially when all the other members talked about was that made up demon Xornoth.
He tugged at the collar of his shirt, feeling warm. You would think after living in Mezalea all his life he would have become better accustomed to the warm, and he normally was. Joel frowned ever so slightly, the room didn’t feel particularly warm, but he did.

Or, how Joel became king of Mezalea because of a tree, and also married the goddess of the ocean
Or, or, this was MEANT to be a small little cute thing about how empires Lizzie and Joel met, but then it spiraled into immense world-building. They still get married tho :)

AMAZING worldbuilding! Joel's backstory is interesting and fun, and I loved the descriptions of how he made his clones. Also, Cod Alliance friendship!! It was really cute. But the cutest part was Lizzie and Joel courting, it was amazing.

High Wizard Gem laid a hand on her brother’s shoulder and pushed him back down in his chair before he could leap across the table to attack Jimmy. But her glare was stuck on him, and her voice was like venom.
“I never expected this from you, Codfather. I invite you to remember that King Sausage is still our brother despite his corruption, and that this is a slight against all the heirs of Mythland. An apology is in order.”
A mistranslation leads to drama during a stressful House Blossom Alliance meeting, but with some revelations and cultural discussion, the emperors resolve it.
