    Summary

Ann is Michael's childhood friend and as time went by, they catched feelings for each other. After Michael moved to Encino, he kept in contact with her, but she started developing a personality disorder due to her parents expectations. Eventually, Ann and her brother could get out of that toxic environment and moved to LA, where they had opportunities to chase the life they wanted. Since she did not mention anything about her mental decay, Michael was clueless about anything related to it. How can someone unlearn toxic traits for them to accept love in a healthy way?

“Borderline personality disorder is a mental health condition that affects the way people feel about themselves and others, making it hard to function in everyday life. It includes a pattern of unstable, intense relationships, as well as impulsiveness and an unhealthy way of seeing themselves. Impulsiveness involves having extreme emotions and acting or doing things without thinking about them first.”
    Mayo Clinic, 2023.
People usually compare this disorder to 3rd degree burnings because of how intense patients feel their emotions. The disorder was formally recognized and included in the DSM-III in 1980.
