   Summary

If you were to ask Spinel how he met his umbreon, he'd conjure a lavish story of heroism and loyalty intertwining, or a glum tragedy only he could ammend.

Truthfully, he finds the real story embarrassingly mundane.

(He's never willingly nursing an egg ever again.)
