Work Text:
“Cause you are
the piece of me
I wish
I didn’t need
chasing
relentlessly
still fight
and I don’t know why..”
Sealand stood on the edge of his tower, well, I should say “country”.
He watched the water below him, upper body pressed against the railing, the only thing keeping him from tumbling off.
he listened to the waves crash against eachother.
He was ready.
Sealand closed his eyes, feeling at peace, until…
”PETER!!”
Sealand jumped back and snapped his head around.
“Wendy?…”
Wy gasped for air as she ran to Sealand.
”I…found your notes…Peter…please don’t jump, who will I bully Seborga with now?
…
Sealand looked away.
Wy stared back at the boy, heart in her throat, only able to wait for what would happen next.
Sealand opened his mouth to speak.
“Cause you are…
The piece of me…”
Wy gulped.
“I wish…
I didn’t need!”
Wy took several steps forward, all while crying out “Chasing relentlessly!”
Sealand spun around on his heels to look at Wy one last time.
”Still fight and I don’t know why!”
Sealand lifted his leg up, then the other, until he was fully standing on the railing.
And let go.
The chilly night’s wind smacked against Sealand’s face,
Wy screamed in terror.
Sealand fell towards the waves below.
His body felt like it shattered as he hit the water.
He tried to gasp as water filled his lungs, stopping him from breathing, regret hitting him almost immediately. He tried to fight, to swim, but the impact of hitting the water had damaged his body, and made it almost impossible to move.
Wy, not thinking, ran after Sealand, jumping off too.
she was been trying to catch him.
Wy reached her arms out when she came into contact with the water, trying to grab Sealand, despite the stabbing feeling of the cold water seeping into her clothes.
“Wendy?!?!”Sealand weakly croaked out with the last breath he had.
“Peter!”
Water got in Wy’s nose and mouth as she tried to speak.
She coughed, crying out from all the pain and stress.
Wy looked at The dying micronation infront of her, and, as much as she wanted to, couldn’t do anything. the cold water had paralyzed her muscles.
She began to drown too, as she couldn’t move.
The last thing they both saw, before everything went dark, was eachother.
“Why are you my clarity?”
