Of Bone and Justice

Summary:

Being a creator themselves they hated the way that XGaster treated his creations but their wasn’t much they could do about it seeing as it wasn’t exactly real, but reincarnating into UnderVerse they were going to use this opportunity to beat some sense back into Ink, and make sure XGaster lost his life privileges and XGaster’s bitchass was going to pay, and his victims would get JUSTICE. But what was JUSTICE? And what was VENGEANCE? Could they make sure not to fall into VENGEANCE or would they even care if they did?

Also if they might be able to help out a pair of lovers along the way and see one of their favorite ships come to fruition, well, no one could blame them~

But can the others at least stop calling them kid!

Chapter Text

Welp, they died, they weren’t all that torn up about it but honestly did that robber have to be so trigger happy? The Robber was the one going too get life in prison not them, and in their opinion prison was probably one of the most boring places to be in and wasn’t worth whatever crime they thought it was worth if they got caught… They hope their killer was brought to justice, they saw the cops outside their window when they were bleeding out, there neighbors probably heard the gunshots and called them… but they were never able to see that bastard get caught, bleeding out before that… how pathetic…

But you know what? Death was kinda peaceful, they were laying on something soft, and they didn’t want to open their eyes just yet, they didn’t want to know if they were in some sort of afterlife or that an ambulance somehow got to them in time and that they were now laying on a bed in the emergency room. They just didn’t care, and wasn’t that alright? They deserved it, after everything, right? …They wanted their parents, and they knew that they weren’t here with them, because they couldn’t hear her mom’s incessant chattering, talking to anyone and everyone, even herself, and they couldn’t hear their dad on the phone, talking to clients… they weren’t the best parents, hell they didn’t even like their parents half the time, but… was it so wrong to still want them? They weren’t even old enough to drink…

It was unfair, what happened to them was unfair. They should have been able to live, to live with their friends, to be able to continue to annoy, help, joke, cry, and smack talk with them… Ha… this is why making friends is bullshit, why life is bullshit, you make friends then you lose them, one way or another. Life is life you are born, you work, you die, boo-hoo and as the old saying they heard awhile back, you ‘eat shit and die’ or something like that, it was close enough.

Eghhh, how annoying, stupid code was playing in their vision even though they weren’t even using their computer! They had gotten into coding not to long ago, and they weren’t an expert but damnit it if that stoped them from seeing it in their imagination. The main one that caught their attention was 97.381N(North) and 54.178E (East), nice their imagination was getting more complex, but why this? Why coordinates?

Suddenly a strong gust of wind blew against them and pushed from their position of lying on their back to now laying on their stomach a few feet away from where they were originally, wonderful, just wonderful. Welp they weren’t dead, but they weren’t in a hospital like they should be, and they weren’t even in their home sooo, fuck. With sad, sad regret, they open their eyes…

…Snow, snow is the first thing they see when they open their eyes. It wasn’t snowing when they died, it was also summer, sooo what the fuck?! Whatever, take stalk of the situation first, have a panic attack later. Pushing themselves off the ground, and what the actual fuck!? Their arm was bone, the bone was gray, why was the bone gray!? What the actual fuck!? What the fuck, what the fuck! They hadn’t noticed they hadn’t been breathing before, it was an automatic human function, you don’t usually notice it. But now they did, or, more accurately, didn’t, they weren’t breathing. They look down at their chest, it was ribs, there were only ribs! No skin, no muscle, no fat, no lungs, no nothing except fucking bones!

Fuck, what were they meant to do? This was above their pay grade!? No, nope, they could deal with this later, but for now they need to know what the hell was going on first.

The surroundings were like this, snow covered all of the ground with about an inch or two of snow, pine trees were everywhere, they were apparently in a forest. But that was the end of the normalcy seeing as there were craters in the ground, each of varying depths, something colorful stained the snow, they were not eager to find out what that was, and blue strings that littered the area, hanging off trees, on the ground, in the craters, basically everywhere, they weren’t going to go near that thing as well.

Last but not least the code, it was still their, wonderful, but… the move five feet forward, 102.562N, it changed, compartmentalizing, ok, they shift their focus and start looking for anything useful…

…After who knows how long, but probably took a couple hours, they translated some of the 1’s and 0’s of code into, ‘weather conditions: windy’ not helpful ‘Main flora in current area: Pine Trees’ thanks captain obvious, and finally ‘Snowdin: 50.667N, 10.643E’ Snowdin kinda sounded familiar and also like town, but it kinda sounded more like a pun for Snowed-in, but, it was the best lead they had unless they want to get lost, which they did not.

Making their way to ‘Snowdin’ they contemplated whether or not that going to this town was the best idea, they mean, like what if their were people there? They knew humans, they were human weren’t they? People weren’t kind, they would hunt, experiment, kill the thing that was a walking, talking, skeleton, they also weren’t wearing anything, which would just make them stand out even more! They now wanted their clothes clothes, even if the cold wasn’t bothering them, it just felt wrong, they wanted their scarf, and their bracelets, they felt exposed without them.

Anyways, if there were any humans in this town they were fucked. But they didn’t think they were, they were now a skeleton, a walking talking skeleton, this felt like a bad anime, maybe one with the name ‘That time I died and got reincarnated as a skeleton’ or something, ether way they were 70% sure that there were other, monsters? Like them. And if they run into humans well their was plan B, plan B was run..

Arriving at the town two things became abundantly clear, first, it was a ghost town, no one was here and everything seemed to be in a mess, some house and building had damage to them, with more of that blue string and the colorful substance, which they were now 90% sure was paint, all over the place.

Second thing was that they were an idiot, ‘Snowdin’, Snowdin! Undertale, they were in Snowdin, fudgggee, and if what obviously were the remnants of Error and Ink’s attacks are here, then that meant that the Multiverse of Sans was here as well…shit… They had a faze of loving the Undertale Multiverse a while back but damnit they were not equipped for this shit!

Also, also what Multiverse were they in? ‘Cause the level of fucked they would be experiencing would change drastically in comparison, they knew of DreamSwap, SwapDream, FGOD, Shattered Stars, the original multiverse, UnderVerses, they had actually watched that one a while back, though the first time they watched it they were confused as all living hell, but when they re-watched it it made more sense.

Ether way it’s not like they were going to figure it out here. Alrighty then! First off clothes, and also to see what they look like, fully, they had a theory but wanted to confirm it first.

Making their way to a home that wasn’t as destroyed as the others, the door was open, the person/monster was probably in to much of a rush and forgot to close the door… actually, they look down, there was a pile of dust by the entrance, RIP.

Making their way inside the house was relatively clean despite the outside wreckage, the living room was of medium size, having a TV, a couch, a lamp, a rug, and two chairs one on ether side of the couch. The kitchen was connected to the living room, with it having the basic kitchen setup of a stove, a fridge, a microwave, a few cabinets, a decent amount of countertop, a pantry, and a kitchen table with four chairs, it was decent.

Next they went into a bedroom, it had a queen sized bed with blue bedding, the bed had two nightstands, one on either side, a closet, a desk that had a sketchbook, with a pen and pencil on top of it.

Looking at the room they felt a sense of unease, because unless this was the house of a giant then they were very short at the moment, they knew that the average Sans was not all that tall, the exact height alluded them as they had never cared about it but now the unknown info seemed to be taunting them. But they probably weren’t the average Sans if their bone color, and the ink and blue string around were they woke up had anything to say about it.

Whatever, compartmentalize like hell for now, figure that out later, right, clothes, going to the closet they pick out what fits the best. Laying the clothing items on the bed they look at what they got, a long magenta scarf, a black long sleeved shirt, and Cyan cargo pants. The sleeves needed to be rolled up to stop them from falling past their hands, they need to do the same for the pants as to not let them fall down their waist, raping the scarf around their neck they were glad for the familiar weight, despite the scarf almost reaching the floor, but they were also sad that this wasn’t their scarf, their beautiful dark green scarf, you shall forever be missed…

Leaving the bedroom they went to the bathroom, not that they had to go, wait could they even go? In the bathroom they look at the mirror, but it didn’t reflect them, they were too short, fuck! Wait they had an idea. Dragging one of the chairs from the kitchen they use it as a step stool and…. Aha!

Their appearance was drastically different, their skin was replaced with light gray bone, their eyes once brown was now a bright yellow, were they even eyes anymore? They were just lights in an eye socket with yellow tears falling from them. It felt wrong, their body felt wrong, they didn’t like this body, it was wrong, they wanted their body back, their life back!

Ok. Ok, not the time, but they were now at least 60% sure of their theory, but just to make sure…they reached up and grabbed at the yellow tears, they wondered why their was so much yellow, they didn’t even like the color! But when they grabbed it nothing happened, good, but when they extended their arm away their tears extended with their movements, oh great, they were like one of those Ink x Error fan kids, how cringe…

But shit, just another thing isn’t it!? Why couldn’t they at least be a normal Sans at the very least?! That would be enough suffering on its own, wouldn’t it!? Ink and Error, depending on the multiverse and timeline, could be absolutely shitty people! They did not want to deal with that!

But fudge they probably did need to deal with that because, if this was SwapDream or DreamSwap, they honestly didn’t know the difference, but what they knew was that Dream was evil and only wanted people to feel positive emotions, which would be bad and unhealthy on so many different levels that they didn’t know where to start!

FGOD was just no, they did not want to deal with that train wreck! Same goes for the Shattered Stars multiverse, maybe a bit better seeing as their is no FATE or DESTINY but still, shitty.

UnderVerse was also bad but at least they knew more about it than the others, but still, shitty. But if they could shake XGaster while his soul was still in Ink’s vial, they would.

The Original Multiverse would probably be the best, but looking upon all their previous luck… they doubted they would be that lucky. Plus what if it was a Multiverse were they didn’t know anything about it?! They would be out of their depth, well, even more so than already.

Whatever, they should probably find food or something, wait did they even need to eat? I mean I know that Sans can eat, breathe, and bleed, but could they? They didn’t need to breathe like Sans is shown to do in-game, and they didn’t feel particularly hungry at the moment, and now that they were thinking about they weren’t even tired! But they were pretty sure that both Ink and Error can get tired, but they had mainly seen that when they fight, and they were talking about UnderVerse so who knew how canon everything was!

But they, at the very least, they were mentally exhausted and needed taking a break, even if for just as bit, … that sounded like a good idea… They made their way back to the bedroom and face planted onto the bed, not even getting under the covers, they should have probably have washed the bedding before hand, but they were tired, so that could be for tomorrow,  and for now they would just closed their eyes for a bit…

Notes:

Sorry for any inconsistencies in the coordinates, I don’t know how to use them and have no passion to learn how to, so I basically used how the coordinates in Minecraft work and used them here.

Please comment, I don’t know if AO3 is infested with AI or not so comments help me know for sure that people actually in joy my shitty writing. It also gives me a lot of motivation to continue onwards with my story.
Also if anyone has an idea they want me to incorporate into this fic the comments are the place to go, though I do have a flimsy structure to make this fic that I want to keep so all suggestions may not be incorporated, also nothing in the explicit category will be added to this story, sorry not sorry!

Also credits will be coming soon!
