“Teto, I'm afraid that if you don't come out, I won't be able to take care of you,” Rei blinked at the bundle of blankets and pillows set on the bed. She had just come back from the bathroom with a pail of cold water and a cloth.
A low growl creeped out from the pile, a gap in the makeshift cave made of cloth revealed a pair of glowing red eyes that glared from the shadows. Rei sighed and set the pail of cold water to the side, walking forwards and using a hand to collapse the pile of blankets.
A head of messy red hair popped out from the pile, horns protruding from her skull. Teto screeched at her, trying to pounce away but her foot got caught in a stray blanket and was sent tumbling to the floor with a loud thud.
“What am I supposed to do with you…” Rei lifted up the struggling chimera by the arms, trying to lift her up back onto the bed.
Teto continued to struggle as Rei tried to restrain her. Her skin was sticky with sweat, flushed red by her increased body heat. Teto always had an above average body temperature but now that she was having a fever, it got way above the usual. Even through her cotton gloves, Rei could feel the heat on her synthetic skin.
Finally being able to restrain Teto to the bed, Rei pressed a wet cloth to her forehead, an attempt to cool down her body. Teto relaxed a little when the cloth was fixed to her forehead, her muscles loosened and her wings drooped.
The android flipped the chimera onto her back when she was fully relaxed, continuing to wipe her body down with the damp cloth. Teto's breath was ragged and shaky, though it was getting slightly better. Her body shivered with each wipe, her wings trying to fold into herself to protect herself from the cold.
“I'm sorry baby, but I need to lower your temperature,” Rei scratched under Teto's chin, eliciting a few purrs from the chimera.
When she went to soak the cloth in the pail of cold water again, she felt her glove being pulled off. Looking down, she found that Teto had her white glove stuck in between her teeth.
“No, Teto, I need my glove,” Rei tried to snatch it back but Teto took the glove into her hands and snapped at her. The fever was obviously making her mind fuzzy and disorienting her so Rei couldn't expect anything. “Darling, give me my glove and we can get this done quickly,” Rei held out her hand but Teto only tried to bite it only to wince at the rubber and hard metal.
“Alright it's jacket jail for you,” Rei removed her jacket, pouncing on Teto to fix the piece of clothing on her. Teto flailed around, tail thrashing and wings flapping wildly to get the attacking android off her. Unfortunately for her, Rei had been overly successful in her restraint attempt.
Since Rei was taller than Teto, her jacket was naturally larger than what Teto would wear, making it a perfect article of clothing for restraint. The jacket was put on backwards, so that the opening was on Teto's back in order to prevent her from unzipping the jacket. Teto's arms were bound behind her back with the oversized sleeves, tied into a cute bow.
Rei fixed her glove back onto her hand as she snickered at Teto, the chimera glaring at her from her little jacket jail. “Now, eat your medicine and we can get this done,” she took the spoon and poured some of Teto's medication to try and feed her. But of course, Teto was not in the right mind at the moment. She shook her head, sticking out a forked tongue at her.
“You're making this more difficult than it has to be,” Rei deadpanned at her girlfriend, the latter still trying to wriggle her way out of her restraints. Rei sighed, she supposed she had to take primitive measures.
She captured Teto's face in her hands, forcing her mouth open to quickly shove the spoon in and make her eat the medicine present on the cutlery. Teto grimaced, but eventually swallowed the medicine upon seeing Rei's stern look.
“Better, would you like me to sing you to sleep?” Rei chirped, her happy and friendly facade back in place.
Teto stared, then blinked. She shivered, this time not from the fever. “I don't think that's necessary…”
“Oh? You can talk now?”
“You taking care of me helped but uhm… can you get me out of here?” Teto gestured to the jacket put on her as a restraint, tail flicking impatiently from under the jacket.
“Of course, love,” Rei did as asked, unbinding the chimera from her cloth prison. Her previously plastic smile softened, a loving gaze fixed onto her girlfriend.
Once the jacket was off, Teto flapped her wings to loosen them before she laid down on the bed, still surrounded by the mess she made. She threw a blanket over herself, pulling it over her head to cover her flushed face, one not from the fever but from pure embarrassment.
“I'll clean this up for you, don't worry,” Rei began picking up the blankets but stopped when she felt something wrap around her forearm. She looked down to find Teto's face peeking out under the blanket, her hand grabbing her arm tightly.
“Please… stay,” she whined and Rei couldn't help but think that Teto was adorable at the moment with how pitiful she looked. She was glad Teto had never learned to take advantage of her puppy dog eyes to convince her to do something she didn't like, Rei wouldn't be able to refuse if she did.
She sighed, shaking her head and placing the blankets back onto the bed. “Fine…” she crawled under the sheets, wrapping her arms tightly around Teto's torso. She pressed her chest to her back, feeling the soft vibrations from her purrs travel to her artificial skin. “You better get some actual rest from this though”
“Love you…” Teto smiled, turning around to embrace her lover. Rei only returned the hug, patting down her back. The android pulled the sheets further up, making sure Teto was comfortable before she laid back onto their shared pillow.
What a troublesome chimera. And yet, she wouldn't have had it any other way.
