SMG3 wakes up to another morning that honestly seemed dull. But that’s how it’s been ever since SMG4 ended his channel. Honestly SMG3 should’ve been happy about that because SMG4 was his long-time rival and he even started an arc all about stopping/taking over SMG4’s channel. But now that there aren't random antics happening every second of every day, he realized just how much he missed it. He’d never admit it to someone else but still. Life has just been boring the last 5 months.
“Well, might as well open the cafe,” he whispered, walking over to the elevator after he got out of bed and got ready for the day. And, as the loyal pupper he is, Eggdog followed behind him.
As usual, it was a slow morning at his cafe. Though the day started to get a little more interesting when Meggy and Tari burst into the cafe and ran over to him, with slightly distressed expressions.
He rolls his eyes with a sigh and asks them, “What the heck do you two need?”
“SMG3! Don’t you realize what tomorrow is?!” Meggy asks, voice raised a little.
He looks at them confused and says, “Uh? May 7th?”
“But there’s more to it than it just being the 7th! Three, tomorrow’s SMG4’s channel’s 15th anniversary!” Meggy exclaimed.
“So?” SMG3 replied. “The idiot ended his channel almost 5 months ago.” The thought made him sad but he quickly pushed it away before he showed it.
“That’s not going to stop us from celebrating his channel’s 15th anniversary though!” Tari responded. “And because of this we need your help in telling the others without SMG4 suspecting anything!”
He thought about this for a few seconds but eventually he gave into Meggy and Tari’s puppy dog eyes so he just sighed and said, “Ugh, fine. I’ll help you tell your guy’s friends about this.” He walked out from behind the counter and left his cafe with Meggy and Tari who were happily cheering.
He offered to go find and get Bob and Saiko while Meggy went to get Mario and Luigi as Tari got Boopkins and Melony. Luckily SMG3 knew where both of them lived. Saiko lived in an apartment like a normal human being unlike Bob who lived in the dump so he decided to get Bob first since that was closer to the Showgrounds than Saiko’s apartment.
To his surprise, it actually didn’t take him that long to find Bob, and it was actually on his way towards the dump when he heard a familiar, sort of robotic sounding voice ask, “Yo. SMG3. Do you want to go and help me sell some certain substances?”
“I would love to Bob, but I can’t today or tomorrow. Tomorrow is SMG4’s channel’s 15th anniversary and I somehow agreed to helping Tari and Meggy help plan it and set it up. Are you willing to join us though?” he asked, trying to sound bored even though he was secretly hoping Bob would say yes because it would make SMG4 happy.
“Hm,” Bob hummed, putting one of his sword hands up to his face while he thought before saying, “Alright, fine. I’ll help. But then you and me will go and sell drugs the next day?”
Three huffs a small laugh and says, “Sounds like a deal man. Now I’m gonna go ask Saiko. I’ll see you back at the Showgrounds.” Bob nods and they part ways with Bob heading in the direction of the Showgrounds and SMG3 heading in the direction of Saiko’s apartment.
Eventually, the purple Meme Guardian arrived at Saiko’s apartment. It literally looked like any other apartment but he knew it was the right one as he texted Saiko that he was here. He didn’t really want to call in so he texted the previous video game character in advance. Saiko just responded with a thumbs up emoji and eventually, he was let in.
There was… surprisingly less rock stuff than he was expecting to be in the girl’s apartment but there were still quite a few things like posters, a guitar, and a couple speakers.
“So, what’d you need Three?” Saiko asked with a curious look. “It’s not really like you to just visit one of our places on a whim without a reason.”
He let out a short sigh before saying, “...I came to ask you if you would like to help set up for a party Meggy and Tari are planning for the 15th anniversary of SMG4’s channel.”
“...Even though he ended it?” the pink haired girl asked and when SMG3 nodded, she also gave a small nod and said with a small shrug, “I don’t see why not.”
“Alright. Let’s head back to the Showgrounds then,” the previous villain responded and then they both headed out the door to head back towards the Showgrounds.
When they arrived back at the Showgrounds, Three wasn’t that surprised to see that Tari, Meggy, Mario, Luigi, Boopkins, Melony, and Bob were there waiting for him and Saiko.
“Yay, now everyone’s here! But that means we need to start thinking of a plan for the party tomorrow,” Tari said happily when she saw the two approaching.
“Okay, but where exactly are we gonna be planning for this without SMG4 suspecting anything?” Three decided to ask, pointing out the obvious.
“Well, that's easy!” Meggy answered with a smile. “We can do it in your cafe SMG3! That way if he comes in he won’t suspect anything because he’ll just think that we all decided to just hang out together at Three’s cafe.” That’s… actually very true, he thought a bit grumpily. And so, they all ended up going to the cafe, all of them hoping that SMG4 doesn’t show up.
“Alright, so we need to mark off everything on this list by who's going to be in charge of what. These things are food, decorations, and activities. Since the last time we threw a party for SMG4 it was kinda a disaster, we’re gonna be having different people in charge of things,” Meggy explained. Good idea. I hated having to decorate for the idiot’s birthday party last year, SMG3 thought.
“How about me and SMG3 are in charge of the food?” Luigi asked. Three thought it was a good idea as after all, the best cooks out of all of them were him and Luigi.
Tari nodded and said, “Yeah, I think that’s for the best since last year for SMG4’s birthday party, Meggy and Bob made a very inedible cake.” Meggy and Bob gave the blue-haired gamer a glare but the duck lover ignored them or didn’t notice them but SMG3 saw her write down his and Luigi’s names under ‘Food’ anyways.
“I think for decorations, you, Meggy, Tari, and Mario would do the best at it,” Saiko pointed out.
“We would!” Mario replied energetically. “We can have the best decorations ever! SMG4’s gonna love them!” Meggy and Tari nodded in agreement to the red plumber and Meggy wrote down their names for decorations.
“I think me and Saiko should plan the activities we’ll have,” Melony said.
“Wait, but what about me and Bob?” Boopkins asked, looking sad on being left out.
“I have an idea as to what Bob and Boopkins could do,” SMG3 said. When they all looked at him, he continued by saying, “They can be the ones to distract SMG4. After all, we’ll need him to be distracted while we make the food and set up the decorations.”
“That’s true. Alright, I’ll write those things down. But then we gotta get moving! We only have until tomorrow to buy the ingredients for the food and the decorations and activities!” Meggy said, standing up from the chair she was sitting in. The rest of them all stood up as well before they made their way to the nearest supermarket minus Bob and Boopkins as they went to go make sure that SMG4 doesn’t suspect anything.
When they were at the store, they all separated into their different groups. Luigi and SMG3 went to the food area while Meggy, Tari, and Mario went to find decorations. Melony and Saiko also went to a different section of the store so they could find the things they needed for the activities they had planned on the way to the store.
When the Meme Guardian and the green clad plumber arrived in the food section, Three said, “I’m gonna go find supplies so we could make a homemade cake. You can find the stuff for dinner or lunch or breakfast or whatever meal we’re gonna have.”
“Okie dokie!” Luigi replied. “I’ll come find you with our shopping cart once I’m done!” They then walked in two different directions.
They weren't far from the aisle that held most of the ingredients to a cake so it didn’t take much time for SMG3 to get there. Though, once he got there, Three suddenly thought of something and pulled out his phone.
#1BestCafeOwner: Yo, Karen, me and most of SMG4’s friends are throwing a party for the 15th anniversary of the idiot’s channel. You wanna join?
OverworkedMom: Eh sure. I need a break. I hope you guys don’t mind that I might need to bring my kids if I can’t find anyone to babysit them.
#1BestCafeOwner: I’m sure they won’t. But anyways, see you tomorrow then Karen.
OverworkedMom: Yeah, see you tomorrow.
Once Karen sent that last message, the purple Meme Guardian put his phone away and got back to his original task. Alright so I’m gonna need flour, sugar, butter, eggs, milk, baking powder, salt, and vanilla extract. I don’t trust SMG4 to have all those ingredients and I know I don’t, besides the milk but I’m running low on that anyways, so I’m gonna need to buy everything, he thought, already grabbing the flour and sugar and putting it in the small shopping basket he has.
It didn’t take long for Three to have grabbed the rest of the cake ingredients and even some ingredients to make homemade frosting as well, including food coloring. Now he was in the cold section to get the milk, eggs, and butter and once he grabbed the butter he heard a familiar voice off to the side.
“There you are SMG3!” Luigi said happily. “Since I couldn’t find you in the baking aisle I guessed you were here and I was right!”
The cafe owner let out a small huff of a laugh and said, “Well, I’m glad you came and found me so I don’t have to carry around all these ingredients anymore.” He then put all of the things in his basket into the shopping cart Luigi was pushing around, including the butter he had just grabbed. Since they were both finished with finding the stuff they needed to, they headed over to checkout to buy everything.
As they were finishing up checking out, SMG3 heard a voice say, “Oh, Luigi! Three! Glad to know that we finished at about the same time with our shopping!” The two of them turned around to see it was Meggy who called out to them and she was with Mario, Tari, Melony, and Saiko who were just walking up to the checkouts, their own shopping carts full of stuff. The streamer and the green plumber just simply waved back at them as they finished checking out their own things.
Soon enough, the seven of them were walking out of the store and were on their way back to the Showgrounds.
As they were walking, Three walked up next to Meggy and asked, “Hey, is it alright that I invited Karen to the party tomorrow? She might also bring her kids if she can’t find someone to babysit them while she’s at the party.”
“Of course that’s alright!” Meggy replied happily. “The more the merrier!” A hint of a smile appeared on his face at this and he decided to keep it as they continued on their way back to SMG4’s castle as the sun began to dip lower in the sky. They still apparently had a few more things to do like make any decorations they couldn’t buy and put together the activities. SMG3 also offered that he would put together an album of songs that can play at the party.
It was late that night and the purple Meme Guardian was sitting at his desk that was in his evil villain lair with Eggdog asleep on his lap. He wanted to make something special for SMG4 and he got the others to help him with it and so right now, he was fixing up the gift. As he finished up the last touches he thought, SMG4’s gonna love this. I just know he is.
SMG3 opened his eyes and barely gave himself time to fully wake up before he was shooting out of bed and getting ready for the day. Today was May 7th, marking today as the 15th anniversary of SMG4’s channel which meant he had to go meet up with Meggy, Mario, Tari, Saiko, Luigi, Melony, Bob, Boopkins, and Karen soon.
Once he got there, all of them immediately got to work. Bob and Boopkins went off to make sure that Four stayed away from the castle because as soon as the man had woken up, they dragged him away before he even got the chance to have breakfast, much to the Meme Guardian’s complaints. Three was working on the cake and its frosting, Luigi was working on the main meal, Saiko and Melony were setting up the activities and music with the playlist that Three put together, and Meggy, Mario, Tari, and Karen were working on setting up the decorations.
Luckily, it didn’t actually take that long for it to happen so they all finished it right at the time they wanted to finish, which was lunchtime.
“Alright, I’ll text Bob that we’re done so he and Boopkins can bring SMG4 back,” SMG3 offered, pulling out his phone and texted the previous rapper. Bob replied with a simple thumbs up emoji and then Three said, putting away his phone, “Alright. Bob, Boopkins, and Four are on their way back.”
“Great! Everyone, get into positions!” Meggy called out and they all went into their hiding spots.
Eventually, they heard the front doors to the castle open and once Three heard this, he, and the others, all popped out of their hiding places shouting, “SURPRISE!!! Happy 15th Anniversary SMG4!”
The retired Youtuber was obviously surprised by this but it didn’t take long for a smile to appear on his face as he asked, “You guys set up an anniversary party for me… even though I ended my channel?”
“Of course we did Glitchy!” Mario exclaimed. “Why wouldn’t we?”
“Yeah! We’re your friends Four! You were the one that brought us all together! We wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for you!” Tari said.
“And even though you can be an annoying rival a lot of the time. …You still make for a friend I don’t regret having,” SMG3 admitted. And honestly… he meant it and probably wasn’t going to ever take it back.
SMG4 laughed and said, “Alright. Now, how about we have some fun?” Everyone cheered and immediately began to celebrate. They ate Luigi’s lunch, played different games, and danced to some of the songs that were playing, one of which that got them all dancing at once was Scatman’s World by Scatman John.
After a while of hard partying, they all calmed down a little bit and SMG4 said, “I’m… so happy that you all planned this party for me. I honestly was a bit worried that you guys didn’t want to hang out with me anymore since I hadn’t seen or heard from any of you guys yesterday but now that I know you were planning this, I don’t think there are enough words to express how grateful I am to have you guys as my friends.”
“Well, we actually have two more surprises for you,” Three replied, and his counterpart tilted his head to the side in both confusion and curiosity. Mario then brought out the cake that SMG3 had made which was a vanilla cake decorated in blue frosting that said on top of it in white frosting “Thank you for 14 years of adventures!” Four let out a happy gasp as he saw the cake and tears began to form in his eyes.
But before he could say anything, the purple Meme Guardian stopped him by saying and holding a remote, “Ah, ah, ah! Remember, we still got one more surprise for you!” SMG4 looked at him curiously and SMG3 just simply pressed a button on the remote which turned off the lights and turned on the big TV they set up and it started playing a video which was a compilation of all the adventures they had together and the music that was playing in the background was similar to the song sung during SMG4’s 10 Year Anniversary being sung by everyone but a little different…:

When the song and the video finished, SMG4 was crying as he looked back at everyone.
“Guys… Thank you so much for this day. I’ll never forget it. And… you’re welcome. I had such a fun time these years as well,” he replied, happy tears streaming down his cheeks.
SMG3 smirked and said, “Of course.”
They all then pulled SMG4 into a hug as they all collectively said, “Thank you so much for all the adventures SMG4.”
